Hi, I got a notice from GLOBE Magazine about my subscription, and they sent me a suspension notice saturday, and it said on the bottom of it (i failed to contact them, since i cant do it over phone), they said that if they cant contact me regularly, they will make more serious issues. Can I contact through email? Can someone Help! What if they call the cops? I need to get through to them through email.

I've always wondered about this. I'm not asking if it's wrong, only if it's illegal in the US. If it's not illegal, than exactly how much younger than the older partner does the minor have to be in order for it to be illegal? Does it vary by state?

3herniated (neck): 2 buldges (mid-back) 3 buldges, 1 hernaition (low back). I live in new york and my no-fault coverage was cut off around June. I still have pain and I am still taking pain meds (percocet). I haven't been able to work due to the pain and depression that has set in since i've also rarely left my house since the accident. The lawyers tell me that i'm only entitled to the minimum settlement ($25,000) since both he and I have the minimum coverage on our automobiles. The accident has also left me without an atuomobile. My lawyers also will not do an assest check on the guy who crashed into me; one reason was because the guy could hide his assests once he knew there was a check being ran (total nonsense excuses). Am i wrong in thinking that my lawyers are lying to me (not that lawyers are known for telling the truth)? Is an assest check an absurd request for a 24 year old, who was in excellent shape and mind be4? more money would be nice, expenses is goal!

Having just watched "60 Minutes" segment on the Drug Enforcement Agency busting legitimate (by California law) marijuana dispensories, wouldn't the DEA's time and resources be better spent on getting rid of methamphetamine, heroin, and other "hard" drugs - drugs with histories of addiction?

We’ve been though court and i now have soul custody. He has visitation every wed, and every other weekend. I was told that before i could get support he had to have a job and making over $8000 a yr. He's 17 (18 in April) has dropped out of school, and only has two credits. So because he is a failure he don’t have to support his child? He's stated that he will not give me child support, and i know as long as he lives with his mom he will never have to get a job. He’s also never had one that wasn’t under the table. I’m willing to go back to court. Is there any way i can get around this?
I’m trying to do the right things, I’ve tried reasoning with him. Since he don’t want to give me money with out a court order (and the only way he is making it is dealing drugs.. that’s a hole other story.)I’ve told him i would be happy with a pack of diapers, and outfit, even a Sippy cup! The only thing he has got his son in the 20 months he’s been living was 2 outfits.

I just recieved a letter stating that i owed my former employer over 300 dollars in pay they say that i owe them, but i left on my two week notice back on november 16th and and recieve all my pay correcltly. I do believe that this falst but they say i owe them by january 11,2008 never the less. is this sort of thing legal?

First, thanks to all of those who responded to my question that posted initially about my stolen laptop from the school library. However, I would like to make somethings clear. First my laptop was not stolen by a student or a stuff or teacher. It was stolen by someone from the street who was not even suppose to be in the school to begin with. Second the emergency door was suppose to have an alarm but this door doesn't have it and the camera next the door doesn't work. yes I should have taken my laptop with me but the school also should have made sure that the people who should not be in school stay out off the school. what you guys think know???

Today someone stole my jacket at work. My store won't allow us to put our jackets in the lockers, the coat check is insecure, it is all based on trust. Also, customers can just walk in and out of the room because there is no door or lock on it. Who is liable for my jacket? My store or me? I feel that they are responsible because there is no secure place to put your personal items. If I was responsible for my own things, where would they expect me to put something as necessary as a jacket if there is no where to put it?

My new laptop was stolen from my school library when I left it in a study room to go to the bathroom. The person who stole the laptop was not a student in the school. in fact he was not a student at all which means he was trash-passing . On top of that the door he escaped the library with was an emergency door that was suppose to be secure.

And the question is Can I sue my school for that. And if I do sue my school can the school do anything to me to hurt me or my education in any way??? Please if any one know anything about this please let me know. thank you!

Let's just say someone who is in their 20s commits a felony. He is wanted and remains on the run for decades and he is found almost 50 years later when he is in his 70s.

Can he still be arrested for something that happened over 50 years ago?

My parents run a shop at a commercial location. There has been a drainage pipe that has somehow become corroded and must be replaced. This is a very costly project.

The pipes are such that the waste of every single shop in the complex will run through the corroded pipe.

Now, our argument is that because the plumbing is shared, we shouldn't be held responsible for repairs just because they are under our shop. The plumbers say that we shouldn't be liable, but they're not lawyers. We've had others tell us that shared plumbing is part of the structure, and the landlord should pay just as if the wall collapsed due to age.

Does anyone know who is liable or have any advice? We are going to have a lawyer read our lease, but we don't know what to do beyond that. We live in Los Angeles, if that matters.

My grandmother had made a will. she gave her property to my mother and put a condition -charge -on it. she should give 50000 rupees each to my mother's two brothers the first year after her death. if not paid she should give 6% interest per annum. But my uncles did not accept the money then. Now, 14 years after the death of my grandmother, they demand that they need a portion of the property. She is ready to pay them up 50000 with 6% interest. But they refused. Is she legally bound to give them a share?
