It depends on the state. In Illinois 17 is legal if they have parental consent
There was an error in Arkansas law that would allow people of any age to marry with parental consent.

Different states have different ages of consent BUT 18 is nationally recognized as as adult. Therefore, under 18 is recognized as a minor. Technically, yes this would be illegal, anywhere in the country, if there was any sexual activity taking place. Sexual intercourse, oral sex, kissing, even holding hands would all, beyond a shadow of a doubt, be illegal. However, charges would have to be formerly pressed by the parents/guardians of the minor against the adult offender. Furthermore, since most states have a legal age of consent less than 18 (most commonly 16), if the minor was over this age and agreed the offending actions were consensual, the most said adult could expect to recieve punitively would be a misdemeanor "idencent liberties with a minor" charge, more than likely sentenced to no more than community service or perhaps a short probation, and a court order to stay away from the minor until they reach legal age. If the actions were not consensual then charges could exceed felony statutory rape, and lewd acts with a minor, punishable with life imprisonment.

It varies from state to state. Usually anybody under 14 being with someone over 14 is illegal. There is usually also a year gap. like 3-4 yrs. a 16 can usually be with a 18 yr old, but not like 19 or 20.

It depends on what state you're in. There is a legal age of consent, and there is also an age difference that may be taken into account. Google it and you may find your answer. The above poster takes into account Jamie Lynne. Some southern states have consent ages of 15 or 16, and if Jamie was found pregnant in those states the question wouldn't even have been asked.

It does vary by state. From what I've heard, there is generally a three year age gap that is allowed between sex partners. So someone who just turned 18 could legally be with a 15 year-old.

this does vary state by state. Just do an internet search for "age of consent" and the name of your state.

It depends on what is going on. Dating is legal, sexual contact may not be. It does vary by state.
