Why is it that a Black person can say don't trust whitey and that is acceptable but I can't DECIDE to NOT like someone based on race? WHY? I am just asking a question, is it not my constitutional right to choose to NOT like a particular race?

I lost my job because my boss said people told him that I was cmplaining about stuff and that it was creating negativity. By boss rarely spoke to me, and never said anything to me about this issue prior to firing me. Is this legal?

I just received my first pay slip and I see that they only paid me for 1 hour on my first day. I was there from 10 - 3, so 5 hours but they only paid me for one. I think they did this because I was actually on the tills (I work as a sales assistant in Boots) from 2 -3, the rest of the time I was watching health and safety videos, signing papers and going through all the requirements and things I have to do.

I have an online classified website and need a terms of service and privacy policy. Is it illegal for me to take another site's contracts (like Craigslist) and use it as my contract as long as I take out "Craigslist" and put it my company name?

I've spoken to a couple of lawyers and they told me that I could do this and that there was nothing I could be sued for because there aren't copyrights on legal documents. Is this true?

My mother is a hairstylist. About a year ago, one of her clients gave her a necklace & two rings to pass on to my daughters. Now, all of a sudden, the lady's son is calling my mom demanding that the necklace be returned, because it was supposed to go to his daughter, who wants the necklace NOW. We moved since the jewelry was given to my daughters, and now, needless to say, are unable to find the necklace. My mom's afraid that the man is going to sue her for the necklace, but I'm thinking that since it was a gift, he can't do that. Any suggestions?

I've been told that blood test results that are above a .17 are considered a "High Tier DUI" and that the penalties are stiffer. Does anyone know what sort of penalties would be imposed on someone’s first DUI arrest with a clean record?

This is going to be a long story....

My fiance used to live with his mate but they fell out as he kept letting girls stay alone in his house and one of them was a thief...anyway my fiance moved out because basically the bloke said he wouldnt stop letting girls in...they also work together...they managed to be civil and carry on working together and its been over a year since then-nearly 2 years actually...day before they finished work for xmas they had a row because my fiance disagreed with this bloke view on a computer game...my fiance said he didnt want to talk to him anymore as this bloke was getting a bit over the top and a small shouting match started...when they finished the store they were cleaning the bloke got in van and went to drive off...so my fiance grabbed the equipment and tried to get in the van-but the bloke kept reversing until he was pinned against the walll and door-he managed to slide out and ran to van door and took out car keys....

I was seeing this guy on and off for three years now. One year ago I was arressted for having a warrant out that I didn't know about for calling this girl to many times. I was trying to tell her about her childs father and how he was telling us both that he loved us and wanted to be with us. At the time he was living with me. Now he is living with her and just one day up and left me. I sent her all of the evidence I had, pictures, etc. to help her see what is going on but she didn't believe me or want to her about it so she went to the police again. Now I have an arrest warrant out and I could go to jail what do I do?

I sublet from the original renter for 2 weeks before beginning my lease on December 15. After calling the manager several times he said that he would slip a lease under my door. Nothing was done for a week until he called me and left me a message saying that now the utilities will be changing in February and he needs to discuss that with me first. Those weren't the terms we discussed when I talked to him about the lease to begin with. Now it has been nearly 2 weeks and I STILL haven't gotten a lease or how much I owe him for the rest of the month in December. He has been very rude and terrible at returning messages. What are my rights? And do you think it's a little shady that he demands $25 in CASH for lockouts?

A saw something on the net a few months ago about this man who's father had set up bills and accounts in his son's name using his social security number.

This kid's mom hasn't been in his life in over a year. She's never had a job and leeches off the government, so I wouldn't put this past her. I'm probably just being paranoid, but this telemarketer company just called and asked for him. I told her he is 7, and she said she's take him off the list. I don't know what company or what she was calling from.

Like I said, I'm probably being paranoid, but I want to be safe about it for his sake.

Had banking overdraft problems. They said they would fix one of them and when I tried to explain over the phone how the second was linked and that the other customer service rep told me if I fixed the major one then it should be taken care, he wouldnt listen. He said my local branch can only handle the second one which may be true but when I asked to speak to another customer service rep or a supervisor that wasnt as nasty without saying it that way he denied me and threatened me by saying if I dont stop asking he would take back the credit he already issued. Is that illegal?

This guy at work, I guess, thinks he is exempt from following company rules. Any reports he gets that he doesn't want to do or thinks are too hard he sends back to our manager (which we aren't suppose to do). When hours were cut he was the only one in the my region that didn't volunteer to give up a few hours. Yet everyone else did including myself and I have been at the comapny much longer than this guy. All of us have bills to pay and didn't want to lose any hours either. I also have more responsibility than he does. Now I have found out that he doesn't clock out when he goes to lunch. He leaves his desk and leaves the building for an hour. My asst manager just realized this but has yet to mention it to him. He said he would speak to our manager when he returns to work next week. A supervisor, who is my friend, told me the dude could be terminated for this. Supposedly he hasn't been clocking out for a while. I think this is wrong and my friend said I should take it to HR.

I live 20 miles from my job in the country where plow trucks don't some down our road until late-if at all. Apparently, my employers state that unless the center is closed due to bad weather, I should have no reason not to make it. My employers and the other employees live within a few blocks or miles of the center in town. I don't have a 4WD cehicle to get me there is winter weater is bad. On top of that I am two months pregnant and feel that no job is worth risking imjury or death just to get there. Does this seem unfair, and what should I do?
