Yes get three estimates. Their adjusters job is to screw you over, your job is to prove them wrong.

you dont have to get three estimates at all. If you call your insurance company and notify them, you will have a "non-fault/no-fault" accident on your record. This can affect your discounts and your policy could be increased by as much as 20%. Not to mention you'll have to pay your deductible.

The Adjusters job is not to screw you over. You'd be suprised how often the adjusters numbers are actually higher than what it costs to get things fixed. Are there shady adjusters and insurance companies? yes. But there are also shady lunch ladies, preachers and police officers.

You get the opportunity to go the place of your choice and have repairs done as you wish.

So long as its only to damage related to the incident and its within reason.

Get 3 estimates. You may also want to contact your insurance company to find the best way to get a fair settlement.

Get your insurance company involved. That is what you pay them for.
