i am owed back pay. My ex is a lazy bum that doesn't want to work. somehow he got away with getting ssi. i was getting 65% of his check becouse he owes so much then the kids get ssi becouse he does. we went to court tues. and they said i am only supposed to get 75.00 a peice for the kids but since he owes me back pay they will take 175.00 out of his ssi check. so now i am only getting 325. a month for two kids and the last four months i was getting 639.00 . why can't i get the 65% i am entitled too. i have one step son that we have to pay more child support to than i am getting for two kids. don't you just love dead beat dads. any way i just got done writing the irs a letter about how he hasn't paid taxes in 5 yrs becouse he owes me and another girl back child support.

I am sick of people saying that the Death penalty is unconstitutional! When was the Constitution written again? Didn't they have like the guillotine or hanging or something? What I am asking is, IS the death penalty unconstitutional if the death penalty was in use when the Constitution was written? Thank you!

My employer recently has been trying to move people around within the company. If the employee refuses to accept the new position (that demands more hours) they are demoted and forced to take a pay cut of up to $15,000 per year in some cases.

This does not seem legal and I was wondering if anyone knew the law that protects the employee against this stuff.

Would you vote to pass the gay marriage law in your state? Tell me why or why not. Also, give a little background information about you and your community (what state?) / people you are around most. This is for a class project; I would just like to get a wide range perspective. thank you.

I am a 15yo male from who is going to Denver next week to see a friend who is in the hospital due to illness. I am in the process of getting legal emancipation from my parents due to financial reasons. I have been in contact with a lady who I met over the net who wants to concieve a child and is willing to meet me for such. She is in her early 30's. CO state law says that age of consent is 15yo as long as the actor is more than 10yrs older than the victim. I don't consider myself as a victim. Is it still legal for she and I to have sex or not? If the shoe was on the other foot and I was a 15yo girl I know the answer would be an overwhelming "no".

Before anybody gets their knickers all bunched up, I work in a high school with disabled students. How do they factor into this, many of these students are unable to take this test, which then lowers funding, as we all know that is what the standardized testing is for. Then there are some students who meet the criteria for the testing, have to take it, and get very low scores which in turn, lowers the funding the school can get. This all has a very bad backlash on the treatment these students get, as administration sees them as nothing but a liability, when they are really entitled to the best education we can give them. But education these days is centered on passing the damn standardized tests. Doesn't this seem extremely unfair and detrimental to the welfare of these students, who are surely being left behind?

Tom was at a party and got into a fight. He was struck in the back of a head with a bottle and needed to go to the hospital to get 5 stitches. The next morning he vowed to get revenge on the man that hit him. He found out Oscar had hit him. Tom stole his father's shotgun and went to his friends house to learn how to use it. Tom's girlfriend drove the car while Tom rode in the backseat with the shotgun. When they were out front of Oscar's house, Tom claims the shotgun accidentally fired. The shot killed a 4 year old girl. Im in a Business Law class and Im on the prosecution team and need to prove this was murder. I believe it is manslaughter so im having problems finding an angle to prove murder. Any suggestions or Ideas would be a great help. Thanks

I built my house and I used to have a nice view. The course was flat behind me.My house is built pretty close to the course. The new owners are redoing the course which is fine but right at the property line there is a huge hill maybe 20 or 30 feet high and is leveled out at the top where the top of the green will be.It totally blocks a view and even blocks some of the sunlight.I feel fenced in.Everybody that sees it thinks it is terrible that they are doing that.I called the county and the man went out to see it and didn't see any ordinances that they were breaking but said he was on my side and could defintely see that I would be upset considering what it was. What options do I have for getting them to change this?

She has just turned 17 back in june and he is turning 22 later this month. She is about a month pregnant by the way. The parents are threatening to put him in jail but he is threating to put them in jail for supposedly forging a document from a judge telling him to stay away from her. So, basically they're blackmailing each other. If they decide to press charges then he's going to report them. I kind of feel for the parents considering they were just trying to protect their daughter but they definatly went about it the wrong way. I just need some answers cuz this is a complicated situation.(it's not me by the way.The guy is a friend of mine)

Can a physical therapist call a patient's doctor, attempt to diagnose him on her own, get a nurse to come in to cathiterize a patient and call his insurance to see if he is approved. Esspecially since the patient didn't give her any insurance info. That leads me to believe she got it from the doctor, can he give out that info to someone who isn't in his practice, isn't social services, and isn't another doctor? And can a physical therapist decide someone needs a cathiter without going through tests to see if they are retaining fluids or have any bladder or kidney infections?
