Depends where you at! In NY a misdemeanor stays, or stayed not sure bout now, on ya record 7 years! A felony also but a murder or sex crimes conviction stays there forever! And to those who don't know; peeing in a bars parking lot is a "sex crime" and for females showing your breasts in a park or a BJ is also a sex crime depending on the cop DA judge, etc. So I'm not saying stop! FOREVER...especially for criminal...it is ALWAYS going to be in the Court Clerk's Office and the Police Department Records.
If it's on your driving record, it is suppose to be removed after 7 years, but it depends on what the charge is? GOOD LUCK!!! You know that the conviction is there and you are the one that has to live with it for the rest of your LIFE!
