I'm starting to get very interesting flyers from democrats locally who are running for non-national positions. Today came from the local democratic party and is espousing a plan to:
1. Hold businesses accountable who knowingly hire illegal immigrants.
2. Crack down on developers that support illegal immigration.
3 Fund more police patrolling our streets to protect our community and stop gang violence.
4. Combat residential overcrowding and neighborhood blight.

It's certainly not everything that I want, but it's an inkling that we are starting to get through here. Are you seeing the same in your own local elections?

Why does Yahoo! Answers fly the American Flag "Old Glory" for a foreign country called the United States? By Law they can go to jail for calling it the United States flag. Why don't they fly the US flag for the United States?

Im a college student and was recently offered a teller position by a bank. They asked me if I was a US citizen or permanent resident and I replied no but I have authorization to work. The lady said she would have to hold off the job offer and run it through corporation. What does that mean? Should I have told her that we are in the application process of permanent residency?

Growing up in America was a life full of blessings and opportunity. As I watch our country fill up with new immigrants I have to wonder if they come here to change America or to join it? I see illegal immigrants carrying the Mexican flag in out streets in protest. I see Indians and Pakistani’s coming here by the millions to make America like their third world countries. We have to give up our traditions to accommodate them and to be politically correct al the time. America is a land of immigrants, but when my fore fathers came here it was to start a new life not to drag the old one to America. The word assimilation has no meaning to these new age immigrants and it is causing a great rift in America. I hate seeing 14 people living in a two bed room apartment. I hate seeing people form other countries taking advantage of our freedoms with out ever having to sacrifice for them. I hate unwanted house guests. I am writing this as message to immigrants. Be proud to be American.

Since congress is hell bent on legalizing law breakers into our nation, I say lets go with the flow and make it work in our favor. Fight it and one of the sides are going to win and since they have the advantage in numbers, I suggest going with the flow and both parties will remain intact.

My ideas:

Start a business that carters to this group of people only. Give them credit cards with high interest rates, nice cars that are offered at low prices but come attached with high hidden fees.
Offer them investing accounts with promises of making money for them when in reality the fees end up draining them dry. You know, make money off them at their expense, and do it with our best service with a smile. Treat them the way the current middle American class is being treated.

Get a mate. Start hooking up those who are not citizens. This way you get to teach your kids both English and Spanish and in the process will create a truly unique American culture. Eventually this will eliminate racism

I think if you come to this country (UK) for asylum or for whatever reason, then you should NOT be allowed to claim ANY benefits.I also think you should have to pay for medical care, except in childrens cases. Who agrees?

While it is obvious that being an illegal immigrant is a crime to start with, anti-illegals are claiming that illegals are the majoral perpetrators of crimes in the US. Everyone should know that illegal immigrants consist of all races ethnicities, why then won't the law enforcement agencies and the news media, identify perpetrators who are caught doing any criminal acts if they are illegals?

not considered terrorist. Is our difinitions of a terrorist only someone that kills by using bombs. If an illegal Iraqui were to slips over our boarders and kill one or more people we would say it is a terrorist attack. So if other illegals do the same thing why all of a sudden do they have rights that protect them.

During these times I would think anybody coming into the USA ilegally would be looked at as a threat to our Nation. They may not come in to blow things up but they sure do put a strain on our economy, social programs and our middle class citizens. The rich nor the poor don't give a damn what they do to us. It's folks like me that are paying the price. Isn't that the goal of a terrorist, to destroy my way of life.

This involves the deportation of LEGAL immigrants, but ones convicted of crimes, with right to jury trials, attorneys and the whole nine yards. Moreover, one was convicted 'a dozen times' of drug charges, the other of drunk driving and later possession of cocaine w/ intent to sell, etc. They claim inability to argue they have family in the US to an immigration judge is a 'violation of international human rights'.

I'm not buying it...

What do you think?

We all know that there are about 12 million illegal immigrants in the US. Most of them from Mexico, but many of which are from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and other central and even south american countries. A lot people don't think that they should be here and should go back. Others say that it is ok that they are here so long as they come here legally.
I know many families that are here illegaly. Many come here because they wanted to live a better life and live the American Dream. So yes, come here LEGALLY, but wait, how long does that take? That could take up to 10 years, maybe more. Imagine this old homeless person waiting outside in the cold, waiting... waiting for the doors to open, so he could go to a warmer place. Many of those immigrants just cant wait, so they just come. they have no control over the economy of their country either. I dunno thats my point of view, I'd like to hear yours.

What about African-Americans, Puerto Ricans, Asians, and Japanese?

While we pack our bags, we'll be sure to take down every bridge, railway, skyscraper, apartment building, pool, amusement park, thrift stores, malls, grocery stores, hospitals, and every single road we've built..

Even if we gave their so-called land back.. If there were nothing left, would you still want it?
