I think you know a bit of history.
Historically, the States of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Utah, Idaho, Washinton, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, North and South Dakota ALL BELONGED TO MEXICO.
Texas was STOLEN from Mexico in the Treaty of Guadelupe Hidalgo the other States were stolen from Mexico over a period of years... it was only that southern edge of New Mexico and Arizona that was actually purchased (Gadsden Purchase) from Mexico... the rest was taken away in the Mexican/American war and other little bits of that supid "Manifest Destiny" that AmeriKa hid behind as a way of explaining why they were stealing the lands from the indigenous peoples.

Belong more to Native Americans and Mexicans??? I see what you're trying to say here, and yes they where here before the Caucasian counterparts. But in the case of the Mexicans, the land they were claiming was bought. The Native Americans were also compensated, just not as well as they should have been.
For those of you that said "no", you have a severe case of denial. To tell someone to "go back to their own country" is about as racist a statement that one can make. This is still the land of the free. That type of statement is further ignorant when you combined the attitude that this is land only for Caucasian Americans. If we say it is for everybody, then make an effort to accomodate the other people in America.

That could be true of every country and province in todays known world. There has always been one or the other tribes of People taking over another throughout world history. Some National Boundaries only began to be recognised in the latter part of our Earth's History. There were vast lands that were uninhabited while peoples were being displaced by stronger and more able tribes and races of peoples. One can go beyond and before the Indians ,Mexicans ,and Chinese of today. Hope that answers your question.

your history seems to have come from listening to your friends. Everyone once emigrated to America, including the Indians. African slaves were sold by black African, when whites stopped trading in slaves it caused a war against the African blacks, and had done so long before whites had arrived. I'm still waiting for the Romans to pay me for when my ancestors was a slave.
Mexicans have little say over America just as Austrians have over Hungry. People don't like criminals and that's why they ask illegal immigrants to go home.
garrison - texas was stolen, and how did the USA manage that? Also Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming North and South Dakota were claimed by the British, Colorado, Wyoming, parts of new mexico and Texas by the french. Texas wasn't given to the USA the won there indipendance in 1837 and joined the USA in 1849.

The Losers especially pre Columbian tribes fought wars for land and the loser moved on... In Europe that's why there was a fall of Rome....Winner takes the prize loser calls a new place home

The indians walked over from russia, when the bearing strait was frozen over. Everyone comes from the cradle of civilization in mesopotamia, so arguing about what land rightfully belongs to what people would have to include some kind of criteria in terms of what is a rightful way to assume ownership of land.
In the case of native americans, if they were the first humans to arrive, do they then have claim to the land forever, regardless of the needs of other humans? What about the people starving in africa because they live in an arid wasteland? Are they to die because they were born on land that can't support its people due to drought or poor farming practices by ancestors etc?
These are all complex questions. I think you have to look to the best examples you can find of peaceful co-existence, of people coming together for the common good, and have enlightened but prudent immigration policies etc.
As is the case in so many things, moderation is the key. do what you can for your fellow man, but don't let the country get overrun by desperate people and turn your own country into a nation of desperate people as well.
This is a good question by the way. It will help people think about our place in the grand scheme of things

The land is also what has been made of it and in that sense belongs to those who made something of it. As someone else pointed out here today, would they want the land if American citizens took everything that had been put into it along with themselves when leaving? Highly doubtful. The only reason the Mexicans come here is because of what others put into the place.

Contracts were made with the natives of the time to develop the land, wars were faught over territorials rights and so on, surely you took history.
How do you know the natives and mexicans aren't products of vikings sailing the seas and becoming lost and settling centuries or millenia before the europeans openly discovered it. remember if you were marrooned with your ship sunk or wrecked, there wasn't exactly a high traffic on the seas in this part of the world as people believed the world to be flat. Commerce was with China and Spain and France and so on all in Europe, we don't have history for this part of the world before the 1500 ad do we.

As I understand from the preamble of your Constitution, most emphatically not. It belongs to all citizens of the United States. If you are citizen of Mexico, China, or anywhere else who does not also have citizenship of the United States, it does not "belong" to you - though you can still have rights under International law.

Get the story straight dude!! Stop cutting people down, when you don't even know what the hel* your talking about. Sounds to me as if you live in a little hole. No one is telling anyone to go back to Mexico! People who are illegal need to go to the back of the line. Also were you in WWl / WW ll any war to save this country. Have you actually done anything to help build this country. NOT.....Seems to me you enjoy being a big as* bully!! So your saying that you don't like people of many colors!! Why don't you go jump into the road. You have no clue! Go to school and sit there with your mouth closed and grow up!

And the Roman empire used to stretch to England but I don't see Italians screaming for London.
We can tell them to go back because they have broken immigration laws - you know the same laws Mexico upholds when they arrest illegal Guatemalans. Oh - I bet Guatemala owned mexico first!
