Immigration - October 2007

Think of it this way considering the conditions many illegals lived in previously do you think denying them access to health care drivers licenses or education going to make them self deport. Isn't the only way to get illegals to self deport by denying them access to jobs and money. Do you think these laws that deny illegals things like drivers licenses really useless.

This boggles the mind. Why dont mexicans realize that if they want to get accepted in a new country they need to sincerely "like" the country. Realize that a lot of discrimination comes form your arrogance and ignorance towards the united states. Realize that you are making americans hate ALL latinos. As a latino I find this disgusting. When my parents came to the United States to escape Fidel Castro we thanked the americans and adored their values.

Mexico is the biggest hypocrite in the world. During the cuban revolution, the mexican govn kicked out people fleeing to the mexican embassy in havana. Many of these people were shot by castro's thugs. So dont start talking about human rights.

Have you noticed in Wal-Mart they now have Bilingual signs in Spanish and English.

At first, one would think, how convienient!! I don't have to learn English...

Yet when Jose and Maria can't speak english in school, we get a scenario where places like Los Angeles(where the average student recieves $10,000 per year/student(OVER the national average of $6500) yet kids can't speak/read/write English...and then they wind up working for...Wal-Mart, and everything comes full circle.

And with wages SO low, they qualify for foods stamps and welfare(again lowering the resonsibility of a employer to give a decent wage, dumping off that resonsibility to ALL taxpayers via paying for those food stamps/welfare/social services).

God Bless ALL the businesses(and don't forget Wal-Mart!) we see that sell out for the quick easy buck and keep people in their place.

People think I'm crazy when I say something...what do you think? Am I crazy being PO'ed seeing America going 3rd world?

Although all U.S. based horse slaughterhouses have been shut down, thousands of American horses are still shipped across our borders into Mexico and Canada where they are inhumanely butchered and sold for human consumption abroad. But it is not enough—we must ensure that horse slaughter is prohibited in every state in America. Now America's horses are being beaten and dragged across the border into Mexico and Canada so that they can be inhumanely slaughtered for food. I will continue to fight in Congress to end this brutal practice and ensure that American horses will no longer be savagely slaughtered for human consumption."

"LOS ANGELES – More than 1,300 illegal immigrants in five Southern California counties were arrested in the past two weeks during one of the nation's largest immigration sweeps, federal officials said yesterday.

“In this operation, we located some very dangerous aliens, including those involved in street gangs, as well as those with various criminal records that include drug trafficking, domestic violence and sexual assault,” Myers said.

Roughly 90 percent of the immigrants taken into custody had criminal records, re-entered the United States illegally or resisted deportation orders, she said. About 600 have been deported in the operation that began Sept. 19.

More than 500 alleged immigration violators were at large and taken into custody in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, officials said.

My friend wants to marry the father of her child (who was not with her during the pregnancy, he lives in Canda she lives in the UK, he has had partners, she has had partners)

The baby is now 2 years old and the man has only seen his child for the 1st time in August.

They are now engaged.

They want to get married in 2009, but he has does not have his Canadian passport, he was originally from Jamaica.

She wants to up sticks from the UK and live with him in Canada.

He is meant to be coming to the UK to see her in December, but he has not even sorted out the visa and expects her to pay for it because she wants him over there!!

I have asked her, if he is begrudging paying for a visa, how is he going to buy a ring because he seems tight!

How long does it take to get your visa?

Can he be deported if he does not have a passport for the country he lives in?

On the news, i see all these minute maid (lol) guys, talking about "we dont want no illegals in our country" and what not. Around these minute maids, i see African Americans. They as well are trying to fight agains illegals, but why? Do they not remember the way the white people treated them for being colored? I know it still exists out there. The kkk still exist. Why does American no do anything about that?? The kkk killed, and hate(d) black people, and i'm sure illegals as well. Why are we letting this happen all over again? Why are African Americans doing the same thing to illegals that was done to them? Why are they judging against color, origin of birth, etc? Did they not hurt when they were being treated bad? Why? I know there are blacks, and whites, and all sorts of people that dont have all this trouble with illegals, but alot of others do. Even asians, cubans, hell, even illgals who are now legal. Why all this hate people?? We're all humans, not animals! What's your opinion??

WASHINGTON - To put it bluntly, Texas wants President Bush to get out of the way of the state's plan to execute a Mexican for the brutal killing of two teenage girls.

Bush, who presided over 152 executions as governor of Texas, wants to halt the execution of Jose Ernesto Medellin in what has become a confusing test of presidential power that the Supreme Court, which hears the case this week, ultimately will sort out.

The president wants to enforce a decision by the International Court of Justice that found the convictions of Medellin and 50 other Mexican-born prisoners violated their rights to legal help as outlined in the 1963 Vienna Convention.

That is the same court Bush has since said he plans to ignore if it makes similar decisions affecting state criminal laws.

Schools are paid for through American tax dollars, and yet the government allows the kids to go to school for free. Why aren't the parents required to give a valid SSN to prove they are here legally? The government is purposely looking the other way.

I know it is not the kids' fault, but why are the parents allowed to stay once they have broken the law? This also creates a problem, because now the government feels obligated to give these kids financial aid to college.
