Most of those that state this are those that want amnesty for illegal alien criminals. They don't care about those legally in the process already. They think that illegal alien criminals in this country should, for some reason, be allowed to stay and be put in front of those that are legally attempting to immigrate here. They

What I think is broken about it is we have between 12-20 million illegal alien criminals running around our country. No one knows who they are, where they are from, how many there are, what is their background (how many are desperate criminals, carrying fatal diseases, etc). They took it upon themselves to break our immigration laws, every last one of them, are now in our country, and refuse to leave. If they are deported, they come back. It's one of the single biggest issues facing our country today.

We admit more LEGAL immigrants BY FAR than any other country in the world. If anybody's immigration system is "broken", that fact alone proves it's not ours that's "broken". What is broken is our border enforcement, and our enforcement of laws pertaining to illegal alien criminals in our country.

It wasn't broken until some jingoist
Mexican haters decided they didn't like
the Mexicans coming here.

Before the wave of prejudice sweeps us all away in a conflaguration of hate,
there was a problem before this sudden revelation of illegal immigration.
It wasn't the Mexicans, our long time friends and cheap laborers, who performed
the horrible acts of terror. There are a lot of mexican lads fighting and dying for this country in Iraq. They have fought in all our wars. Many have the medal of honor and more deserve it but were kept from receiving the medal by prejudiced superiours, such as the mexican who captured over 500 japanese
single handedly in wwII. He originally got the silver star.

We exploited the laborers; as Casaer Chavez so pointedly reminded us all
a few decades back. Maids, gardeners, nannies, drivers, machinists, textile, apparal and construction workers, have been forced by economic circumstances
to work for as little as what they ate
that evening. They painted houses, laid floors, trimmed trees, and did every other dirty job
el gringo couldn't or wouldn't do. How do we repay them for helping to make this country better for all? No one is going around checking papers and deporting large scale numbers of other illegals. We have taken an event that
the Mexican males immediatly joined the army to fight. We should be ashamed that we treat these great friends this way.
Gringos going to Mexico for bargains may find the smiles down there a little forced, the formerly helpful Mexican that changed your tire for small change and less, somewhat abrupt, even hostile.
The cops a little less inclined to give the gringo a warning and even call in the federales if el gringo gives them a hard time.
We should be learning about their family culture. Our own family values just do not compare favorably. They are a culturally diverse, artistic, music, and family loving people. Given the chance, they exemplify the highest values of El Norte and much more.

It is a little bit of all that but also our own liberalised ways of postponing any remedial action when things go blatantly wrong . Our politicians are VOTE CHASERS and will not act in the interest of the areas they are chosen to care about.

I think it means that the honor of a mans word and concience and love of country are waning in the USA, selfishness is rampant, and the foriegners are having a free for all at our expense because of it!

Ineffective border.

Ineffective laws on how to spot undocumented (IRS not telling who reports using others' socials),
employers not checking if social is valid,
no laws against renting to undocumented

No ways for people that are here to contribute positively to gain legal status.

Status quo that stop people from certain countries from obtaining residency (because there are too many of them here)

We have AMERICANS and legal immigrants fighting in Iraq. We do not have illegal aliens fighting in Iraq. Illegal aliens are not allowed to enlist in our fine military.

BTW, illegal aliens are not only "Mexicans". Illegal aliens from over 180 countries were deported last year.

Your long rant about history is not even related. I notice you attempt to make it ONLY about Mexicans. The issue is ILLEGAL ALIENS. Period.
