Restaurant linked to E. coli shut down
SHARIF DURHAMS AND ADAM BELL

SALISBURY --Health officials closed a China Grove restaurant linked to a deadly E. coli outbreak today after learning some employees slaughtered a goat there last month.

At a news conference this afternoon, Rowan County Health Director Leonard Wood said that on Friday, a former employee of Captain's Galley Seafood Restaurant on Main Street in China Grove told health officials a goat had been slaughtered there.

Wood said the restaurant's owners confirmed the report of the goat slaughter over the weekend. He ordered the restaurant closed today.

News of the slaughter was "very disturbing" to him and the restaurant's owners, Wood said.

"They don't know if or when the restaurant will reopen," he said.

What ever happened to deportation? There are so many homeless Americans our goverment steps over and many served our military and have less help. Here is an idea all the mexicans learn English and apply to become a citizen the right way. I wish all employers that have illegals working for them were fined 1 million for each illegal they have and that money is allocated to the American people. Dont you get it American corporations are trying to create a low budget world where people are spending a dime earning a nickel, Mexcio has no right to have any sense of entitlement to any thing in America. I know Americans who cant get health care or school loans yet the Mexicans expect it like it is their birth right. Rise up America go to the poles dont let our goverment pass a reform bill that will destroy everything your family and family before that and so on built this infrastructure for you to have a better life than they had not to help Mexico.

I explained to both of their offices how I feel. The girl on the phone said they have been receiving a ton of calls and that the Senator(democrat) is voting against the bill.
The tide can turn if we voice our opinion and don't give up. Have you called your senators yet. Emailed? Called again?

An overwhelming majority of the American public is against amnesty, yet it is being forced upon us by people who "know better".
What a bunch of crap. I thought the government was of the people and for the people and all that jazz.
Maybe we need to re-write that to say a government against the people, for the illegals, in support of illegals.

I feel like someone is breaking into my house and I am watching the whole thing happen but am unable to move and do something about it.

This one would be funny if it werent so serious Kennedy was at a pro immigration rally and they were showing him 300+ carboard boxes filled with 1000,000 names of supporters of the immigration bill but a curious reporter began examinting the boxes and found they were all empty just like the Immigration bill. Just another disgusting lie from the left.

This indifference stands out particularly in the Mexican/Latino community in regards to language. If you were immigrating to a foreign country, wouldn't you want to learn the language in hopes of making the transition easier? The day the U.S. becomes bilingual is the day I move to Europe.

We were passing through this one neighborhood when a latino lady had just crossed the street. She stopped dead in her tracks and was looking at my wife(Yes my wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant as well). I stopped to ask her why she was staring so hard at her(and yes i was very polite). When all of a sudden she sneered at me and flipped me off. Then proceeded in turning and walking away. What do you think upset her? I don't know but it seems to me that ppl are acting very strange.
