I agree. It's like someone breaking into your house, making himself at home, helping himself to your food without asking, demanding things and giving nothing in return, stealing and causing damage to all your property. You call the cops to have him arrested and sent to jail but instead they tell you:
"Oh, he's just looking for a better life for himself..."

When the people are morons about an issue, by your reason you should still follow them?
Most regular people don't like the idea of amnesty because they haven't really thought things through. Anyone who's ever studied immigration policy in detail knows that you have to do something with the immigrants who are already here. You can't just send them back because it would REALLY hurt our economy. Practically all the fruits and vegetables you eat are picked by immigrants, as are a lot of construction jobs and other industries.
That doesn't mean everyone should be allowed to stay for free, and the bills they are trying to get through Congress don't make it a complete anesty with no penalties. You should read the bills in detail before making such assumptions. It's a rather complex policy, and if you don't understand complexity and take it into account, you will have a failed policy.
So your whole 'the American public is against it' isn't a very good argument. I don't want my policies to be dumbed down by every Tom, Dick and Harry out there. Not that public opinion doesn't matter, but when an issue is as complex as this is, you can't base your decision on it. Reember that public opinion was against civil rights for a long time, for the war in Iraq for a long time, and there's a million other times when John Q. Public got it wrong. Most Americans were against getting involved in World War II as well, and let Hitler keep building up. Thank God FDR didn't listen to public opinion then, and started building up militarily even though most Americans were dead-set againt it. I don't want John Q. Public putting together my health care policies either. He hasn't done a very good job of understanding it so far. Sorry.

They have made up their minds. They don't care what the people they claim to represent want. They will keep running these little tests to see if their voters have moved on to another issue until they are voted out of office. Well known and popular congressmen will have to be pushed out of office over this issue, with no doubt as to why, before they will stop trying to sneak this crap past us.

No I'm not happy with what is happening and this is the last straw for me with Bush. One thing that bothers me is that almost everyone blames Bush but they never mention all the Democrats like Ted Kennedy who are pushing to get the bill passed. I might be wrong but it seems to me that it is mostly Republicans who are trying to stop the bill. And one other thing the workers from South America working where I live are not working on farms they are working in the building trade and doing construction work and these are not jobs that no one wants to do.

Don't vote fro any pro-amnesty Washington weasel! That means all the Presidential dems and McCain are toast! They are traitors and do not listen to what Americans have CLEARLY said.
The same thing for all Congress people! If they vote for amnesty, they should be fired! You fire "employees" that don't perform their job!
The Senate's amnesty bill is a pile of crap. They don't even have the courage to call it what it really is! They keep saying, "It's not amnesty!" Do they really think we are that stupid?
Jorge Bush" is a Mexican butt kisser that is selling our our country. He should be impeached for not defending our country against invaders. (I voted for him twice so I am not a liberal Bush basher! I'm angry!!!)

No I'm not happy about it. The reason it is happening right now is because the elections are more then a year away; and recent history demonstrates the "sheeple" will forget and vote for those who gave amnesty.

Yeah, someone broke into your house after you broke into theirs and now they're taking it back and kicking you out, lol.I agree,we should rewrite it to state exactly what you said so that way people like you will no longer be confused. Also "for the illegals, in support of illegals.".I found it funny that you unwittingly put that in there twice.
