I explained to both of their offices how I feel. The girl on the phone said they have been receiving a ton of calls and that the Senator(democrat) is voting against the bill.
The tide can turn if we voice our opinion and don't give up. Have you called your senators yet. Emailed? Called again?

It is regarding the immigration bill. I figured since the topic was immigration that would be clear.

I've papered my senators' offices with faxes about the amnesty bill. I strongly recommend that in addition to calls, everyone who wants to inform their senators about their opinions on this bill visit www.numbersusa.com. You can find the phone numbers of your state senators there and you can also send FREE faxes to them regarding this issue (either form faxes or personalized, your choice). Please let all your friends know about this service and have them call AND fax their senators.

Some senators are trying to revive this (thanks to Bush and Big Business) EVEN THOUGH the American people are against it. Call AND fax today . . . .DON'T GIVE UP UNTIL THE AMNESTY BILL IS DOA!

Congressman Ed Royce stated that the reason the Senate's bill stalled was because of talk radio (informing people) and angry voters contacting Congress.

KEEP IT UP! This pile of crap cannot pass!

Personally I have send dozens of emails to Senators all over the country, especially the GOP ones that are up for re-election! I have also called and emailed Dianne "Feinswine" and have received her insulting and patronizing emails back about how this is not an amnesty bill.

Boxer has also received several polite but firm emails!

I live in Utah, both of the senators are against the immigratrion bill. What's the difference between Bush's immigration plan and his Iraq War plan? A.: In one of them, we sent a competent organization to attempt a Sisyphean bureaucratic task. In the other, we're sending the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. ... Sunday's WaPo reports on the massive (329,160) backlogs of immigrant background checks at the USCIS. Yet this same homeland security bureaucracy is going to efficiently check the 12 million or so illegals applying for legalization? Brilliant! Let's have them train the Iraqi army while they're at it. ...

you're assuming the Republicans artwork homogeneous. they do no longer seem to be. they are created from the wealthy fat cats who have been all the Republicans beforehand the early 60's. Then, the Republicans needed votes. They went after the huge inhabitants of racist, gun loving, non secular, anti-abortion poor white southerners. They known because it the southern technique. This area of the GOP needs help from the blue states. The fat cats who run the occasion do no longer.

Good work! I'm in Pa,both my senators are voting for the bill. Specter was a big contributor to it. I email them anyway and let them know they have both lost my vote. They keep sending me the same mass emailed response, basically telling me that they don't give a flip what I have to say and trying to convince me how wonderful the bill is. They are both traitors.

You are correct. You are participating in a representitave democracy. Good for you.

People constantly complain about how their representatives are not doing what they want them to do. If you ask them have you contacted your reps and told them how you feel they will very often say no. My question to them is how are they to know how to represent you if you don't tell them? They will do what they want or what the corporate donors want if you don't pick up the phone or email them daily if necessary to get them to vote the way you want them to. They know where the votes and campaign contributions are coming from and just in case you can remind them every third call or so.

Encourage others to do the same and we can take back our government from the corporations.
