Yeah, we take care of our own people who are legal first before saving others to the point that we have been.
Don't mind glitterbabedumness, she is also glitterbabeprincess and I doubt she is even a Mexican. If so, there's definitely an example of one bad apple in the culture.

Uh... because throughout history, situations like the one between the US and Mexico always end badly if something isn't done to help the poorer economy get better. I can think of a million such examples. The most important one is the Roman Empire. They ignored their neighbors so long that the neighbors got jealous of them and their insane riches. Romans were every bit as selfish as us when it came to their neighbors and they paid the price.
As for your whole 'low budget world' idea, it's not any different in any country in the world.
The truth is that Americans give less nonmilitary foreign aid than ANY other developed country in the world. We aren't even close to any of the other countries. We'll give people guns, but we never give them any butter. And you wonder why people have a love/hate relationship with Americans? Yeah, a lot of people in the world would love to have what we have. But they'd be much happier in their own countries if they could afford it.
By the way... you realize that we stole half of Mexico, right? How about THAT for a sense of entitlement!!!!
As for suzym's rant... Yeah, there's issues with multilingualism, but there's also a lot of success stories as well. Many countries in Europe have multiple languages. Luxembourg is tiny, but teaches its students in 4 languages. English, German, French and Luxembourgish. That's why banking is better there than in the U.S. Also why their citizens can point to their country on a map...

I agree that people need to follow the laws if they want to immigrate here, or for that matter into any country. They need to respect the legal processes and methods already in place. However, since when have human beings been 100% good at following rules and doing what is right. The problem is just that at this time from that place it is getting out of hand and at a time where Americans really see that we have a lot of our own problems that need to be addressed and the issues of citizens need to come first. It isn't the fault of Mexicans...the issues you speak of. That is our government and the industries operating in America. Be careful not to blame them for being the easy bait of greedy businesses who don't care about anything but who they can manipulate and whose back they can grow and keep the most wealth off of.

It's not. But, the Mexican economy has become dependent on remitances from Mexicans working in the US, and the US economy has become dependent on that source of illegal cheap labor.
The Amnesty Bill won't really resolve any of that. The employment and immigration laws of the US have to be rationalized - and Mexico needs to grow it's own domestic economy - otherwise, the problem will remain, whether you remove the 'illegal' tag or not.

We have got to get politicions in office that really care about America and our people. I am sick of the ones that make promises and we find out it was nothing but a pack of lies. Australia has came up with some great laws. Wish America would do like-wise.I think a law should be made that if any politician does ANYTHING that hurts America, they should be deported to Mexico!

Unions are pushing jobs foreign places. united statesa., we use to be the best. best product, best high quality, maximum useful production, build and sell foreign places and make earnings. Now, Unions are increasing the cost of our products with severe wages, Cadillac retirement courses, too many regulations, and turning out to be the ambience that the vendors ought to bow all the way down to the staff. those companies are worldwide, they can't arise with the funds for to supply products in united statesa. and sell them foreign places. So what do they do? They flow their factories to Mexico.

you don't make sense. here is how i will answer according to how you phrased you question. . .
All Mexicans are not "illegal"
Mexicans in Mexico don't have to learn Enlgish.
you said all Mexicans have to learn English. that does not make sense because are you talking about the "illegal" Mexicans here or the Mexicans in Mexico? there are Mexicans who are citizens on this country, USA, by the way.
i don't think you should be asking any questions. sorry

Why is it America's job to "save" Iraq?
Or was it's job to "save" all those Latin American countries by sending death squads that even killed children?
Don't be stupid. Where was America in Rwanda during the genocide?
America won;t help a country unless it can get profit from it.
So can you really call it helping?

It's not so much a job, as a privilege. We have things pretty good here, and have the opportunity to help others. Sure, we don't have to. We could be selfish and isolated, but it's bad for the soul.
Edit: Jeremy, the men you talked about in your email sound like brave and selfless men who bravely risked their lives for others. You do their memory no justice by being a selfish spoiled brat.
