Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) just finished speaking on the Senate floor voicing his concerns and opposition on the Immigration Reform Bill. Do you think he will change any minds of those that may still be undecided in the Senate?

I think I can confidently state that most Americans want the border sealed or secured. I also think it can be said that most Americans want a fair approach to immigration . . . but where is the underlying craziness coming from - minefields in the border, shoot to kill . . . Even though I support immigration reform I'm embarrased with the company I am keeping to do so. Any thoughts?

I have an idea to offer amnesty to those illegals willing to help report and convict businesses who hire them in the first place. That would be thousands in fines per each person given amnesty to. Of course it would only be available to the first illegals willing to speak out. We would rack up so much money in a short time and have the means to deport those working illegally. It may even make businesses quit discriminating against US citizens when hiring. Of course those with free bus rides home won't like it but whoever said life was fair.

With those that are illegally here?

Should they start living 2-4 families in a house to make them competitive? Would that solve some of the problems?

If they would just lower their standard of living to those that are illegally here, wouldn't they be able to live on the wages that the illegal makes and then be able to take those jobs too?

Would this be acceptable for American citizens...would it make big business happy?

why are there so many people wanting immigrants to learn english, yet they complain about how bilingual classes and ESL classes are being offered to immigrants?

think about how you learned english? in school right?

bilingual classes is simply a way for immigrants to learn english for their (and your) sake

and ESL (english as a second language) classes are the same thing. simply ways for immigrants or people who do not know english very well to learn the language.

what is this hypocrisy?

it is a known fact that immigrants from other countries which live in the USA and are undocumented do not travel much because they are afraid of being captured .

so i was wondering what places do u think they should visit in the USA once they are granted a legalization so they can learn more about America and its History ???

note 1 : u may included places which are not historical too and are fun ...

note 2 : it is a known fact that Mexicans in particular do spend a lot of money like if they had not had money before ever in their entires lives :D which is kind of amusing ...

I'm sure a small number of them do, but it seems to majority of them don't.(they proved that clearly by waving their foreign flags and in some cases screaming anti-American things) Why is that? They broke the law coming here, the least they can do in return is assimilate into our society.

Have you heard of this bill going through the senate that will grant all illegals a "Z-Visa"? Do you support it or not? I think it is a good idea, b/c by making all the illegals in the US legal, then we can put more focus and manpower into keeping them from crossing the border. How can we solve the problem of illegals if we are trying to fight it on two different battle fields, neither one making any headway. How do you feel about this Bill? Do you like it, dislike it?

I have come into your country illegally. But I am poor and tired, and need your help. I have a family to take care of, and can get no help from my government. Forgive me for coming here the wrong way, but I could not wait. My wife, children and elderly parents were suffering. I love this country and although my homeland will always be in my heart, I consider America my new home, and will do whatever I have to do to make you see that I really want to be a part of your nation. I want to learn English, I want to vote someday, I want my family to have a better life. Thank you.
Or: This was my land before it was yours, I'll take what I want.
You people owe me. I will not learn your language. Why should I? I will steal anothers identity if necessary. I have more rights than you. The white man soon will be extinct. I will raise my countries flag over yours. You have no choice.

Is it just to eat up all our taxes? What exactly are they doing if they are not listening to the voice of the people?

The reason why I put this question in the Immigration area is because the specific area where the Senate is not listening to the American people has to deal with the amnesty bill that they are "Debating" right now.

it would be a lot cheaper than building a 1,000+ mile fence, and much more effective. Considering all the crime, drugs, gangs, and possibly terrorists crossing there-maybe they should have a reason to think twice. After all-it is an international border isn't it?

The catechism states(paragraph 1900, Catechism of the Catholic Church):

1900: The duty of obedience requires all to give due honor to authority and to treat those who are charged to exercise it with respect, and, insofar as it is deserved, with gratitude and good-will.

Pope St. Clement of Rome provides the Church's most ancient prayer for political authorities: "Grant to them, Lord, health, peace, concord, and stability, so that they may exercise without offense the sovereignty that you have given them. Master, heavenly King of the ages, you give glory, honor, and power over the things of earth to the sons of men. Direct, Lord, their counsel, following what is pleasing and acceptable in your sight, so that by exercising with devotion and in peace and gentleness the power that you have given to them, they may find favor with you."

Did Bush want to get more of the military out of the states before attempting to give our country to the illegals?
Congress did not want to send more troops and Bush refused to listen to them or public opinion.
Does this give possible proof that he has sold out the citizens of our country to our enemies; while ensuring that Congress would have no legal military force large enough to be effective if hostilities do break out between illegals and citizens?

After America was attacked on 9/11, the Nation pulled together and vowed to destroy the anarchofascist islamic terrorists in Afghanistan. At this time, Bush was a strong leader and rallied America against the clear and present danger of terrorists like Osama bin Laden.

We have now been attacked again by an invasion of illegal aliens bent on the utter destruction of America. With no respect for our laws, borders, language, and culture, they continue to enjoy more rights than us and steal from us. Can anyone explain how Bush has rallied the nation against this new clear and present threat? And what about the other traitors who support this bill?
