Exactly, and why should we believe they are going to enforce new laws if passed when they don't enforce the ones we have? This is an amnesty bill, pure and simple!

How do you enforce the current immigration laws on 12 million people?
Physically impossible considering the Government don't even know the exact number of illegals or where they are located.

Because he knows that he can not grant amnesty to the 12-20 million illegals here, Americans would go nuts if he did that outright. So, it is easier to try a deceitful method to accomplish his goals. Tell the American people that they are hateful, ignorant and not very Christian if they don't allow this bill to pass. He is a purveryor of the gloom and doom closing, send troops to iraq, cause hussein is going to blow us up, don't allow stem cell research cause we'll create a bunch of frankensteins, it goes on and on with guy. Always making threats or belittling those who don't agree with him. He is an idiot, and should be impeached for his treasonous actions in office.

The problem is; George W. Bush can’t think – that’s why Dick Cheney has been running our country into the ground.
If we enforce our immigration laws, there would be no need for an “overhaul” – employers would be put in prison for hiring any illegal so eventually nobody would hire them. Thus, people immigrate legally to the U.S. or they’d stay in their own country and change it to better suit their needs.

Agree, as far as I,m concerned Congress could close its Doors, and save Taxpayers Money. Enforce our Existing Laws.

Your right...
Labdoctor:
if the laws would have been enforced THERE WOULD NOT BE 12 - 20 MILLION, that's the whole point. Without enforcement, any reform is not worth the paper its written on.

It's a nice way of saying "I want more cheap labor and don't listen to what American citizens think about the issue, so I want to make the citizenship laws more lenient".
