With that in mind, a quote I heard years ago attributed to an elder statesman, which I’ve never been able to find since, was this, “Eventually we become our enemy.”

Individually the same thing, becoming our bosses and parents and doing things we swore we’d never do. As a country, we are ever so slowly moving in the direction that our bill of rights and constitution is becoming nothing more then words. Where it could be, one day, through the politics of fear, corruption, complacency and apathy that we become exactly what we are fighting.

Negativism, sometimes through religion, has divided this country in ways that I have not seen since Vietnam. Some of that I blame on the talking heads, Michael Savage, Ann Coulter and Rush Limbah. Where facts are embellished to outright lying and making up stuff on the fly.

Where the real failure with the left in getting its message out is the result that liberals are generally smarter and better educated and the right is generally ignorant and less educated, therefore liberals don’t need constant reminders of how screwed up the government and the right is while the right needs constant reminders of how screwed up liberals are. Those that are sitting on the fence get swayed by this kind of negativism. Which eventually, through a constant barrage, resulted in Monkey Man being selected then elected, and the millions of sperm Clinton killed resulted in almost getting thrown out of office for telling a lie to protect his family, while the lies that Bush told which resulted in thousands dead is OK.

Even if Bush didn’t lie, as some claim, what he did that is unforgivable is when he found out facts that where untrue after he told them, he continued to tell them…….that my friend turns it into a lie. How screwed up is that? Even at the time when my daughter was eleven years old she understood that.

What we should have at this point is Bush and Cheney thrown out of office and Polosi in as President. Yet I knew when the Democrats won they would roll over dead on the impeachment issue and let Bush run this country further into the ground.

There is a clear message the Democrats and country should be saying is not so much to the country, but rather the world. “Never again.”

Then stop the politics of fear and negativism and start working together and with the world, instead of against so much of it.

We need to start that by looking into our own crystal ball and coming up with our own version of China's five year plans. The problem with that is we’re going to have to come to some realizations that powerful people, even the people will certainly oppose. Then if the planning does become reality it will be thrown into court for the next ten years as we get further behind the 8 ball.

In the mean time we’ll continue to supply the world with arms, millions will die and eventually, through all the hate that produced the 911 we went through could very well turn into a tear drop compared to the thousands or possibly millions lost in the subsequent attacks.

There are good and bad points to the American and Chinese system. While China seems to get things done, we seem to muddle along and get ourselves into legal shambles while lawyers line their pockets in never ending litigation to put on hold what needs to be done years, even decades later.

All of this while the world warms, the population increases and conflicts are on the rise we argue about abortion. We have got our vision so unfocused and politics so screwed up that it’s no wonder Pogo is right.

Here is a clue for you, according to everything I know about God and religion, God loves everyone equally. That includes countries though I rather think that God doesn't give a %$#% about countries, but rather all the hate that people can generate between each other ----------- one in particular that has hate in their name.

The TVs and newspapers has made China into an adversary. If we listened to the media the Chinese are warmongers, ready to attack the United States and takeover the world. However, this isn't likely to be true. Have you met any Asians in you lifetime? Do they seem particularly VIOLENT to you? I doubt your answer is "yes". Asian are some of the most non-violent people in the world. However, newspapers and TV sell more newspaper and commercials if China is made to look evil. Think for yourselves and don't believe the hype.

As far as outsmarting the United States, how? Do you mean to say China is POOR on purpose, and are willing to work for pennies. That's their brilliant strategy to takeover the world!? Is this the way their outsmarting us? Are you kidding me? Look there is nothing we can do to stop somebody from working for pennies. However, China can't do it forever. Slowly, the economy will grow. Last year, China has felt these effects; real wages increase by nearly 200%! That's a big rise in wages.

You know what happens when China can't work for pennies any longer? Don't worry though another poor country, such as Ethiopia, will takes China's place and they'll be willing to work for pennies. One day somebody will say Ethiopia is outsmarting us because their willing to work for pennies. Anyone else beginning to get the picture?

Just think and put things in perspective.

China had been bigger, richer, more advanced in technoloy and academics, and populated for more than 2000 years. Don't be scared by Chinese propaganda .They are still several generations behind America in military and scientific development.

In case of military conflict, China's neighbor India has more than sufficient military prowess and nukes to send China to ashes and dust. India is more than capable of swiftly and surely defeating China, and ruling China as its colony.

If there is a war between US and China all we need to do is to decimate it and its population with a massive nuclear barrage. Within the first few days of the war about 80 million Chinese could be already incenerated from the US nuclear attack, also destroying China's nuclear capabilities. It wouldn't go much farther than that considering the idealized massive land battles just wouldn't happen, for China wouldn't have the capabilities and the US wouldn't want to.

Chinese people knows nothing about the outside world and the small amont of info they have are outdated at lease 50 years. These people live in a communist society. They only know what their govt wants them to know. So they don't know much about any thing at all and if they did they would be told that the rest of the world are a**holes!
