Is it just to eat up all our taxes? What exactly are they doing if they are not listening to the voice of the people?
The reason why I put this question in the Immigration area is because the specific area where the Senate is not listening to the American people has to deal with the amnesty bill that they are "Debating" right now.

Shawty...Don't tell me that you actually are reading the national news and believe it are you? They have their own agenda and don't care about the facts. If they did then they would start with how much damage that the illegal aliens do via their using forged documents to get what they want, and how many ID thefts happen to American Citizens because of it.
The truth is that 80% of Americans don't want this bill and want to keep the USA the USA and NOT the North American Union.

Left, Right, whatever! I'm proud of you all. No thumbs down on this question existed for at least 23 minutes, and everyone got a thumbs up. I agree completely. Why vote for them again.

I agree with you on immigration but as a student of politics the political leaders of this country many times do not listen and in a republic that is correct. Sometimes they are to be leaders and move us in new directions I am just worried after the 1980's disaster legislation on immigration the direction is to a 2020 debate on 40 million illegals or a terrorist strike in 2009 because we never worked on securing the border.

This is what I sent flip flopper this morning....
Mitch McConnell
SR-361a,
United States Senate
Washington, DC 20510
You need to resign from the Senate immediately. You are a total big business advocate, you hate the working person, and are nothing but a disgrace to the state in which you represent. Thank you for your YEA on the cloture vote Tuesday June 27, 2007. Once again you have shown the people of Kentucky that you are senile and out of touch!
If you so chose to remain in office, we will gladly replace you with someone of competence in the next election cycle.
Sincerely,
I think this pretty much sums it up.

This would be the best example of "people bi-partisanship" out there. I don't care what your "tag", I will vote against any incumbent that voted for this pig. It is time for a real shake up in congress, and this SHOULD be just the reason needed for that shake up. I have complained by e-mail, fax and phone... and have yet to get a response back from anyone about this issue.

You have absolutely got me- they are there to eat up our tax dollars and serve the special interest groups that are padding their pockets.
You and me- we are just small potatoes.
What they should be doing is worrying about what is best for this nation and it is most definitely not the immigration bill they are voting on today.

There sure seems to be a disconnect on the immigration issue. 80% of the people are against it and at this point , it looks as though it will get through to the house. Can you say, no incumbant that voted for this pig will get my vote? I can!

I'm with you. What the heck is their damn job if they do not listen to us? What are they thinking putting illegal aliens (AKA criminals and law breakers) before us, the American citizens who put them in office? The only true power we have is to vote them out. Vote for someone who stands up for us.

The voice of the people is nonsense. They want to have power, that's all it's been for a loooong time. They have to cater to us a bit in order to keep that power but soon they will have enough of you brainwashed where they won't even need to do that. Have a fun future, liberals :)

They were elected into office. However, they are not doing what the majority of their constituents want. Come time for re-election, hopefully their butts will be booted out the door.
