I am a "legalized citizen" (not from Mexico) I love my culture, But the only flag that will fly in my house is the American Flag. What right do "illegal aliens" have to demand medical insurance and education when their alligence is with mexico! I honestly hate that! especially the fact that some people have been living here for many years and still do not speak ENGLISH! Wake up America!

They do not love America, or even like america. They think Mexico is the greatest... WHY SHOULD THEY STILL BE ALLOWED HERE!!!!

We can either deal with the illegal immigration problem now as described on the books or we will certainly deal with open civil war in the very near future. The American people better decide right now which it will be, because time is running out for Congress to be able to fix the problem. Once that happens, we won't have to worry about civil war in Iraq, it will happen right here in the United States.

The American people need to understand that the United States is under attack! No, not by Iraq or Iran, but by Mexico!...The Mexican government is deliberately and systematically working to destabilize and undermine the very fabric and framework of American society.

my boyfriend is french he tried to enter the country, and stupidly, when customs called me to ask questions, they tricked me into answering against him proving that he makes money here during his 3 month visitations. My friend is so worried because she needs to be able to sponser her mother to come the the U.S.A but she would like to get food stamps and she wonders if bad things can come of it. She was asked on a job application if she ever got public assistance and she wants to know if there will be a record (like on social security or else where) that will be there to follow and haunt her so to speak. She works full time and has one child and she just need a little help but she is afraid. Please note any and all negitive afftects that haveing public assistance could cause, if any. Thanks!

how come illegal aliens buy so much stuff at best buy like plasma tv's and ipods if they are just trying to have a better life,,,most Americans don't even have those things

As a resident of Southern California, I see a lot of illegal immigration. However, the kind of immigration that bothers me the most is the practice of having "anchor babies". That is what happens when pregnant women run across the border and have their baby in the U.S., therefore they get to stay because their child is now considered a citizen, plus they get access to all sorts of free public aid.
I read somewhere that the government is considering changing the rules of citizenship, and I was hoping to see what you folks think about this:
What if we change the rules of citizenship here to be not that you are just born here, but instead, one of your parents must be a citizen in order to have citizenship from childhood. Otherwise you become eligible for citizenship after the age of 18. This would help lessen the financial drain that anchor children have on our economy in the border states.
Do you think this would be fair?
