One of the pillars? This whole nation, with the exception of the Native Americans, is a nation of immigrants. Most of them "illegal." Even the Pilgrims didn't have permission from the Natives to come take over their land. Neither did they have visas. Something the White folks conveniently like to look over today when persecuting the new wave of immigrants.

It is a well known fact that illegal immigration is a threat to the financial stability of this nation. Why do you think there are so many protests over the lack of immigration control. Any country that allows uncontrolled immigration will experience the same dilemma. It's like having a hundred people just show up at your house one day and next thing you start to realize that you don't really have the resources to support all the "freeloaders" but then you realize that each day more people keep showing up at your house by "sneaking" in the back door when your not looking. They are eating all the food in the fridge, using your clothes, your phone, your car, and basically creating a financial burden. But that's OK you can just go out and work an extra job to support these "pillars". If you haven't seen the streets of the border states over flowing with illegals hanging around looking for work that doesn't exist then you should look further into the real problem of illegal immigration. You see there are just too many of them and not enough work to go around. We have to put a stop to it just for their own welfare. The illegal population confronts poverty on a daily basis. They come here thinking that there is all this work but realize that there isn't any work to be had. They hang around on street corners by the hundreds hoping someone will offer them some work.

No it is not one of the pillars due to the fact that illegals care nothing for the nation they are here simply because we allow the laws that made this country great and the laws that allow us to have our freedoms to be so easily broken and then we do nothing to enforce the laws dealing with illegals, so if anything they are not a pillar but a wrecking ball on the pillars that keep our nation strong, they would not even stay in their own countries to try and change things there so they do not fight for what believe they simply want things handed to them so being a pillar that keeps our nation strong is definitely one of the things that is not made of illegal immigrants.

NO! Unless you consider the illegal cocaine traffic a pillar of society. And even rape, murder, espionage, and thefts. But I keep forgetting that Americans have become a nation of cowards, too afraid to offend someones feelings. All the problems with the immigration situation can only be blamed on the public in general, they have allowed it to get this far.

IF THEY WORK HONESTLY AND TRY TO BETTER THEMSELVES ,YES. IF THEY SMUGGLE DRUGS AND DEMAND FREE HAND-OUTS ,OR THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW A BIG NO. i do feel sorry for those who have no future in their own countries , but that is because they as a people did nothing to improve their own lot. if they as a people are so deserving then they should let their own countries know that by being activists there . i am a natural born American citizen who has been handed nothing on a platter.. i am an ex- con who has learned from his past and moved on. stop your whining obey the laws , get a job, don't have babies you cannot afford and pay your own way.
OR SHUT UP!!!
