It's a term that is used a lot on this board. When you hear the term do you think:

Immediate green card or citizenship at the stroke of a presidential pen
or
Making illegal’s who are currently ineligible to apply for a green card now eligible.

I don't want to get into a debate about should we or shouldn't we have amnesty. I just want to get an idea of what people mean when they use the term.

my brother was deported 2yrs ago from the U.S. but his wife is filing some paperwork for him so he can get his greencard ....is it possible for him to get a greencard .....he had a warrant out on him, will that be a major factor in decidin if he does or doesn't get a greencard?

Does anyone know how to help me get my husband (married 15 years) out of jail? I.N.S. picked him up a month ago.He is a good man never commited a crime in his life and has supported me our daughter and my 4 children from a previous marriage.We have a lawyer and she stopped his deportation but he still sits in jail waiting a court date..While we at home our losing everything. He was approved for an I 130 but we never got notice to go to court and so that lead for the deportation in 1995 we didnt find out till 2003 that there was an order for deportation( We got another lawyer) and I dont think she is moving our case very fast at all..I would like to have him home with us ..we did all the proper things that we had to do...the case has a motion to reopen and he is eligible for 245i relief under the LIFE (Legal Immagration and Family Equity Act) of 2001 Does anyone know what that means??(My 1st husband for 5 years(white American)( ,abused me )..My husband now is a wonderful man to me

Again, I am not generalising. There are many nice and kind Englishmen for sure, but they are SILENT on many issues that support elements that preach intolerance and hatred. I was born Nigeria and came here 7 years back and I don't live off anybody - I am mechanic and at work, I am appreciated for my skill. Even though I had to face customers who didn't want a N.I.G.G.E.R to service their cars - pacifists teach us it is only a few who are actually filled with hate - but, I don't think it's few - there are way too many idiots who really spoil your fresh day with a condescending remark and I just happen to be a sensitive person. The only reason I came this country - of course, to seek a much better quality of life, more money, comfort - name one human being who doesn't need it. And then you have the BNP who come and preach that Immigrants don't like to integrate - what do you mean by integration - to lose your self-respect and identity! Can somebody precisely define it.

I have been many times as a tourist in those countries, such as Russia, Belarussia, Romania, Ukraine & Bulgaria. U could buy a US Visa in the Black Market there. U find the dealer, who has a connection (usually an employee at the US Embassy) who could get the visa stamped on ur passport for an agreed amount of bribe. Their was a huge case in the Press 10 years ago of the US Ambasador & the employee of the US Embassy in Romania (Buchurest) , accepting bribes & issuing visas. I think our system in corrupt from top to bottom & the American middle class & average working man is paying the price, just as Lou Dobs says, " War on the American Middle Class " .

During Reagan years (when they got Amnesty), we were told that they are only 2 milions illegals ,but turned out to be 8 milions. How could they be sure it's 12 milions ? Did someone stand at the border crossing and counted them running in or at the Airport saw them slip in by the INS Custom Officer ? A friend of mine in law enforcement told me that more likely their are 40 milions illegals from all over the world, counting Mexicans are the dominant number 40%. What do u think ? Are pro legals trying to make it look as not such a high number by lying on the truth ?

500 years ago, he perdicted the rise of Hitler & the second world war. He predicted the birth & rise of a new super power on the American continent & the coming in power of a president from a wealthy family that would provoc, inspir and lead the world into a 3rd world war, due to his idiosy & hidding behind his religious conviction, but he is doing the devil's work. Nostradamus predicted that the ist sign would be the war of Misopotamia(know now as Iraq), which would lead to a larger conflict in the middle east & the clash between Islam & Christianity. The war will start by the beginnig of 2012 or 2015 & two third of the world will be destroyed. The war would last 15 years and America will be reduced to burned ashes. Do you think this will happen ?

that they need us "Illegals" just as much as we need them, actually they need us a bit more, lets be honest americans, wich is a SPANISH word by the way or anyone for that matter will NOT work for cheap money, for hard labor, whether you like it or not we are here, and to stay, it does not matter, if your goverment builds a 1,000 feet high wall we are survivors, the real ones. and guess who they are gonna pay to build it?
