500 years ago, he perdicted the rise of Hitler & the second world war. He predicted the birth & rise of a new super power on the American continent & the coming in power of a president from a wealthy family that would provoc, inspir and lead the world into a 3rd world war, due to his idiosy & hidding behind his religious conviction, but he is doing the devil's work. Nostradamus predicted that the ist sign would be the war of Misopotamia(know now as Iraq), which would lead to a larger conflict in the middle east & the clash between Islam & Christianity. The war will start by the beginnig of 2012 or 2015 & two third of the world will be destroyed. The war would last 15 years and America will be reduced to burned ashes. Do you think this will happen ?

I have read a bit of his work, some of the things he foresaw has come about, but quite a bit of his predictions never came about.
No one knows for sure if he was a charlatan or someone who could see future events.
There are many things that man still can not comprehend, or they refuse to even admit that there are things that can't be explained. Now it has been written that if Nostradamus would have been caught "divining" future events that he would have been treated as though he were a witch and that his acts were those of the devil.
What is interesting to me, knowing some of his prophecies, are they really set in stone to come to pass? Or do we still have time to change said events? Is the fate of man kind and that of the world written before we are even born? If we go by Nostradamus that answer would be Yes.
Do I believe that as soon as we are born that our life is already mapped out, events are already set to happen? No, I do not, I look at Nostradamus as someone who is warning us of what could happen, but the events are not set in stone.
And who is to say the events you are mentioning will come to happen, Nostradamus has been right on some and wrong on others.
~add on~ Nostradamus did predict MANY events accurately. It is proven. King Henry II of France, his death is but one event that Nastradamus did accurately predict. (for the nay sayers)

None of these are true. he wrote from his imagination and people who claim he saw the future are only interpreting his writings. He never "literally" said all of this!
