I think it's great people like Angelina Jolie and Geroge Clooney get involved but why don't they ever get involved in charity here? What about all the starving children and family's here? Why can't they help them? What makes people in Africa, ect. better than the ones here? What about Katrina victims? What about St. Judes charities? Why don't they adopt children from here? Why do all the celebrities adopt children from from other countries? Why not America?

I'm seeing a lot of post where people are saying that illegal immigrants want to come here because they want a better life and how would we feel if we were in their situation. I want to ask them, why are we expected to care? Why should we deal with Mexico's problems? America has their own set of problems to worry about and I think it's time to just give them the cold shoulder, what do you think?


PS: These immigrants from Mexico are in no way living as poorly as the poor people in Africa.

My daughters boyfriend and father of my grandson was recently deported to Mexico. He was not born here, but has lived his entire life here in AZ. He has gone to school, graduated and worked to support his family. Unforunately he never followed the proper channels to get his residency like he should have, now what do we do. My daughter has taken my grandson to Mexico and I want them back here. There living conditions are terrible.

When you do something illegal, you are punished, correct?

Theft, Rape, Murder, Robbery, tax evasion, etc. Those who do something illegal, get arrested and go to court and serve time if found guilty.

If you are a person from another country and you would like to eventually become a citizen, or work here, how about trying to apply first from your side of the border and respect our immigration laws. At least be patient until the laws are changed. Don't come gang-busting across poorly guarded borders and bullying politicians to change laws to suit yourselves. America is a nation of laws and the first rule of thumb should be for those seeking work and/or citizenship in the US is to respect our laws. Even immigration law. I have compassion for the desperate people south of the border and I see a place for some in business that needs them, but I have no respect for anyone who breaks the law by crossing our borders, seeking under the table wages, and marching in the streets to change social laws to suit them like they have a right to do so. Yes I know some marching are citizens and have every right to protest or push for anything they want, but let's not encourage large groups of people from storming across our borders at will and then dictate policy. Please follow our laws, respect them, and maybe things will work out for the best for both worlds. Let's get off to a good start on this immigration issue. The facts are that illegal immigration undermines salaries and standards in communities. Illegal immigration does not have to be accepted, and that border control can be enforced. There is nothing racist about desiring immigration controls - in fact, it is damaging to race relation to allow the illegal mass entry into the country from one group only (Mexicans). Would you agree with this or disagree with this ?

WHERE DO THE PILGRIMS GOT THEIR LEGALITY FROM? AND WHO DENIED THEIR CHILDREN’S CITIZENSHIP. It seems to me that they got permission from their own country to came here and just imposed themselves. I guess history tends to repeat itself some times. life is a be.i. te. ce. h.

Intelligent answers only people! I'm looking fo a serious conversation here! I'm off the belief that they are long overdue. Speaking as someone who lives in a town littered with Illegals and Mexicans in general, these raids are long overdue! Though I'll admit it's a shame the kids will not be with their family's, these people brought it on themselves. Number One, they are pver here illegally. Number two they purchased fake ID's. That is basically saying Screw You America! I don't like your rules and laws so I'm going to do this my way. I know a guy who was born overseas and was led to believe that all along he had duel citizenship with the country of his birth and the USA . He lived a law abiding life , served in the military , paid his taxes etc.. . When time came to get a US passport , he was told he was an illegal alien . Should he be deported ? Or because of his service should he be allowed automatic citizenship, and bypass the long process of legalization?
