The minuteman Project is building a fence on the mexican border, why Mexico?? why latinos are the target? why not Africa? or Asia? or Western and Easter Europe? or Middle Easterns for instance.?
because WE latinos WORK ourr Asses off why should we be punished?

We'll start off with the overwhelming number of Mexicans/Latinos that are in the country illegally as opposed to others. Mexicans/Latinos far outnumber any other nationality or ethnic group in America as far as illegal immigrants go, and there numbers continue to grow.

Secondly, it's much easier to build a fence on the land between Mexico and the USA, where the Mexicans and Latinos are most commonly crossing into America, then to attempt to build fences in the oceans to prevent illegals from other continents from entering. They tend to just sail or fly right over those "ocean fences".

While I commend anyone that "works their *** off", I think it's important to do so in a LEGAL manner, by acquiring passports with work visas or citizenship rather than working and living illegally in the country. Along with supporting the social economy of America by working LEGALLY, it's also the only way that one can be protected from unfair labor practices.

The fence is being built on the border because that's where people are entering the country illegally. You know how Mexico treats people who cross it's borders illegally. It's not being built in Africa, Asia or Europe because those people are really working their asses off come here legally. Now that's work.

The problem is the sheer numbers of people of all sorts coming through from the south. Isn't Mexico, itself, more protective of its southern border? Why shouldn't the US protect its border? There are many problems with smugglers and criminals.

Anyone not respectful of a country's sovereignty and laws, is acting as a criminal and will be treated like one.

I do think that US immigration laws need to be changed to be more realistic. Clinton changed them to a quota system that has nothing to do with real needs of people. With bad policies, enforcement becomes nearly impossible or makes more problems. That's what is going on now.

By the way, where I live in western Montana, there are border patrols on horseback at the northern border, and planes, too.

Well if you look at the percentages , I'm sure that Latinos make up most of the illegal population in the US . Not even close for 2ND among other groups. And there is no sense in putting up a roadblock in Canada , if the influx is coming from Mexico. Shouldn't waste our resources guarding the airports , cause they ain't coming in that way either . Common sense ain't it. Don't think race is an issue with them , as it seems to be with you .

this may be a very stupid question... the united states does not border Africa, Asia, Western or jap Europe, or the middle East! i'm involved in criminal immigration. Immigrants geared up this united states of america and could proceed to accomplish that. in spite of the shown fact that, unlawful immigrants are a drain on components and disrupt the economic stability. actual, unlawful immigrants come from numerous ethnic backgrounds, however the final public of them are latino and got here from south of the border.

Because the majority of the immigration problem has to do with mexico. It's a proven fact that a lot of crime and drugs are coming from the country of mexico. 80% of the meth that reaches my home country comes from super-labs in mexico.
