I am and of the African-Americans (not Africans) complaining too. A lot of them are rude. They think that the country owe them something. A lot of African-Americans think that they deserve more than any other ethnicity because they were slaves. Hispanic-Americans think that part of the US was stolen from them or whatever.

The Europeans struggled when they immigrated here. Chinese had NOTHING when they arrived for first time to the US as slaves. Japanese were treated as criminals because of what happened in Pearl Harbor. But no matter what hardships they went through, you don't hear them complaining as much as blacks and Latinos.

~k~h~r : Latinos aren't doing better than other ethnicities. Latino community has the lowest gradution rate, lowest household income after blacks, and % of Latinos in jail/prison might even outscore blacks in a very near future.

All your complaints can be just as well used against the "white" citizens of this country. You complain that the latinos are taking jobs that "Americans" deserve. But how many Americans do you see out in the fields working for less than minimum wage. Do you hear lations complaining that they dont get the wages they deserve? Do they quit their jobs and make their families go homless and hungry and turn to the streets to beg for money? No we suck it up, because we have a backbone, because we have pride and because all we want in life is to get the best we can for our families. So until you find yourself in the shoes of one of the Lations that you speak about, keep your opinions to yourself... None of us wish to hear you cry about something you have all the power to change...

What I have a problem with is the upswing of crimes being committed by illegal aliens. To escape the law, they just flee to their country.

I have no problem with LEGAL immigrants, Latino or otherwise. How can people who are not citizens demand rights from a country they have no legal right to be in. This is what gets me so fired up. JUST apply to be here legally. That is what U would have to do in any other country. There is a reason we have this process. We can't continue to overwhelm our resources with overpopulation and everything that comes along with it.

Look what I found on another post:

"While maintaining its own agressive stance on immigration Mexico condemns the United States for its efforts at building a fence to stem the flow of illegal immigrants from Mexico"
WTF?

You mean they aren't the very first who experienced hardship? You mean they aren't the first and only ones who ever got screwed over by a boss or experienced any dislike from other people or had to obey laws they didn't like or have to adjust to a new life or been hungry etc. etc. etc. Ya.....I'm past sick of it.....they act like they invented it and haven't got a clue that they don't have a corner market on hardship. It's life and sometimes it sucks and it has happend and does happen to white people too.
I want some sort of payback for the unjustness my Irish immigrant ancestors put up with. They came legally, worked real hard and were treated worse than slaves. They didn't get welfare or any help. For generations they worked and fought in wars and now this bunch thinks I owe them and that my ancestors or myself don't understand? Please.......

No, but I sure am getting tired of the Poor Poor White Anglo-Saxon Protestants whining about how they are being overwhelmed by everybody else, especially those who speak with an accent, and/or have different coloured skin and come from a different country. (Which, by the way,so do you, as if you are not of Aboriginal or First Nations (Indian to you Neophytes), then you are an immigrant too, several generations removed. So step down off of your high horse, and try seeing things from somebody else's point of view.

Sick of all these people who think they know everything. Got news for you, most who come on here only know a fraction of the real issues and they make up (fake) the rest to suit them. Get a life and learn to spell !

I'm sick of it. Sick of hearing about how hard their lives are, sick of seeing Spanish on all the billboards, products, and their damn Stinko De Mayo holiday. I'm sick of their mentality that they're not criminals.

Just their very presence here makes them a criminal. How about stealing someone else's identity? All they're doing is trying to support their family? So I guess if I rob my local 7-11 store to feed myself and my family it's not a criminal act.

It is much harder for the people who come here legally. It is tough and takes alot of time. They never complain. They really work to get here.

Latino? There are many many many Latinos that are doing better than most people in the U.S.A. Maybe you mean feeling bad for people that come from a third world country, That can not get admission to the U.S.(which are not just Latino). Yes I feel very bad for them. Why do you have a hard time letting immigrants come to this country. That is what America was built on Immigrants.

Yes, I am.

I am tired of any ethnic group that tries to elicit sympathy based solely on it's ethnicity.
