What do you think about the raids in Cactus?

Intelligent answers only people! I'm looking fo a serious conversation here! I'm off the belief that they are long overdue. Speaking as someone who lives in a town littered with Illegals and Mexicans in general, these raids are long overdue! Though I'll admit it's a shame the kids will not be with their family's, these people brought it on themselves. Number One, they are pver here illegally. Number two they purchased fake ID's. That is basically saying Screw You America! I don't like your rules and laws so I'm going to do this my way. It's totally disrespectful to this county and it's citizens and they wonder why people have a problem with them?

In the first place, blame politcians, they are the ones that are suppose to make sure the rules are carried out theu the right channels. The bad part of this is the ones who wrote the rules, are the ones who wind up with the gold! My son and three others, constructionworkers had just gotten their paychecks cashed,. They were going to go have a couple of beers. My son told me one guy went back out to the car for cigarett's. When he didn't come back inhis other friend went out to check on him. He never came back either, so my son went out the door, was immediately slammed face first up against the wall where his other 2 friends were. There were 2 policemen shakeing them down and going thru there pockets, checked I.D. and plucked all the money from their billfolds and stuck it in their pockets. My son wanted to report them, but the friends were here illegal, so they didn't want to make waves and begged him not too. This happend in South Houston, Tx.
So why didn't the cops take in the illegals? My son is an American born, but they robbed him too. The illegals should have to have a green card, which that is one of our rules. Now the illegals are wanting to draw S.S. too! I totally disagree with this.
I am an American Indian from The RoseBud Indian reservation and we don't get what the politicians say we do. So I have NO FAITH in the (system) I wouldn't call a cop if my life depended on it, cause i am afraid they would kill me , cause I ain't nothin.

It's a good place to start. No matter how we fight illegal immigration families will be disrupted, we might as well accept that. Because this problem has been allowed to thrive for so long and so many American Businesses and Politicians have profitted from this exploitation.
What I don't want to see is simply illegals sent home only to return another day.
Those responsible for providing a market for undocumented labor must also be held accountable, I don't care who they are or how high up in Washington this goes, I want some jail time served by these people who have for so long made it too easy to break our Laws.

Cactus,Texas They arrested about 280 wasn't it from that plant.I am sad for the children,but as you said its a self inflected wound.They caused their own problem by first being in the nation illegally and by using fraudulent ID to get and keep their jobs.
I hear that there was a job fair held to fill the jobs of those arrested.so that's great for this small city's economy. Some win,some lose.But if you play the game legally I think you win always in the long run.Now the new employees children will have a better Christmas.
I still think that the company should face some sort of harsh punishment for their crimes too.

More are needed and as far as the kids go send them home with the parents. I don't understand why people see this issue as hard to deal with because all the laws to address it have already passed but just need to be enforced.
If while committing a crime you kill someone it is murder because it was done while in the process of committing another crime. Anchor babies don't deserve citizenship because their parents brought them here illegally. i don't say this to be mean or to create hate it is just the way I feel. I don't hate illegal immigrants for coming here but I am angry at our government for allowing it.
The process for becoming a citizen needs to be strictly enforced to protect our country from the people who would intentionally hurt it but also to protect it from decline due to overuse of taxes, land, and resources. Flooding the US with uneducated, untrained people in no way helps the good of the country.

Hey just like people who sell drugs to support their family run the risk of going to jail for 20 years the same thing applies for these people who engage in illegal immigration activities. Its unfortunate but right is right. If these dam companies want these people sooo bad then they should take the steps to make these people legal and pay for them to learn english too.
