O.k, so I often hear people complain and moan, and b i t c h about immigration.... But who the hell has a real, logical plan!!
Im not talking about saying'''yes, open borders..amnesty 4 evrey one, nor ..the hell with all those 'mexicans, lets deport them all"... because not only is it inhumane, it is unreasonable..unlogical. 12million plus deported? with who's money? Im all for legal immigration.. yes!! please!! Im also all for securing our borders.... But just what do we do with the 12million plus already here? Do we legalize those who qualify? I think we should, but only after we have secured our borders completely and stoped the flood of immigrants... What do you think?

P.s If your a racist a-whole please don't bother to answer,

Hello, everyone! We are a young engaged couple from Egypt. We are both 22. I have a degree in business administration and my fiance has a degree in mechatronics engineering. We both are very fluent in English and have super computer skills. We are very open-minded and hard workers. We would like to live and work in the US, England or New Zealand. Are you familiar with any migration programs in those countries that might suit us? Thanks!

...fair, blond, and blue-eyed? And if they speak proper english, don't make too much noise, don't trash their surroundings, don't congregate in front of Home Depot, and don't live on top of each other in a one bedroom apartment? I wonder...

I don't understand how people in the United States side with these law breakers rather than stand together as a country and demand that our laws are enforced.

Can anyone help me understand this....

Wheres the real truth?. Once again Business (Sponsors of this show) I am digusted in the one sidedness of this program. Where's the showing of medical institutions closing down, the rapes, murders and last but most theft, why weren't these shown? I'm asking that all Legal voters contact www.nbc.com/intheshadows and voice your opinion. And in the morning wherever you are contact your GOV> REP. and voice your opinion, good God how one sided can it get. I Demand a Rebuttal... Thanks for listening

Do you also want to 'deport' all of those 'criminals' because, after all, they are 'wasting' your tax money? Or you just don't care about them because they are 'Americans'?

Food obtained from Mexican homes showed generally higher counts of coliforms and fecal coliforms than those obtained from commercial sources in Mexico and Houston. The foods in Mexico, both from homes and commercial sources, commonly contained Escherichia coli and occasionally enterotoxigenic E. coli. Foods in Houston were not contaminated with E. coli or enterotoxigenic E. coli. Salmonella (17 isolates), Shigella (4 isolates), and Aeromonas hydrophila (1 isolate) were found only in the foods obtained from Mexican homes. http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=239381

After the raid on the meat packing plants on December 12 of this year, AMERICANS were lined up to get the jobs that were left after the illegals were rounded up. So it is a MYTH that illegals fill jobs that Americans won't do. I am not black, but it seems that poor blacks (as well as poor whites) are being shortchanged by this illegal immigrant problem. What are we to do? They are all marching - why aren't we?

Hi, I accepted a job offer with a major company in the UK for a specialised position. They are currently working on obtaining a work visa for me but have concerns that my education has only left me with a certificate rather than a degree. How much will this affect my chances to be accepted for the visa? What does immigration look for when approving a visa and is it generally difficult to get one?
Thanks for any information.

Several of us have posted links showing that now that Swift has raised wages they are getting a different mix of workers. Someone just posted saying a job where illegals were taken from work is not yet at full staffing when the employer has raised wages forty cents.

My thought is wages may need to be raised more than 40 cents. Farmworkers under Chavez made non-poverty level wages, which in today's dollars would require a pay increase of 40 PER CENT, not forty cents.

Meat packing, as this article shows, used to make 30 PER CENT more money, and according to this article, people waited in line to get those jobs.

What do you think?

Is it the pay, or disinclination of Americans to take these jobs?

The Crider plant is operating at about 450 employees — less than half its preraid level of 1,000, company president David Purtle said.

The company raised starting wages by about 40 cents and now offers attendance bonuses to new hires. Before, it took a year to be eligible for the extra pay. (Starting base pay is $6 an hour; most workers earn more through bonuses and overtime.)

Purtle said about 50 percent of applicants since the raids either did not pass the drug test or reference checks. Many of those who did have poor attendance or quit quickly

"Our challenge is — in hiring unskilled people — their ability to understand what's expected of them," Purtle said. "Attendance is important. No acting up, no mouthing off. They just haven't learned."
