I understand the right to come to this country. But this is america and we speak english. No country i have been to is as out poring as america when it come to people of another country. What i don't understand is why we give so much to the point that we lose our own freedom. I went into a dollar store and the product was in spanish...Why is it such a problem to want people to learn english. when you go to italy the products are not in english, you have to learn to speak it if you want to get around. it should be the same here with out being called names. this is america! am i right. I don't want to take away anyones right to be here, but why is it wroug to want it do the right way.

ACLU Sues Texas Town for Not Renting to Illegals

"Immigration enforcement must be left to the federal government, not each local municipality," said Lisa Graybill, legal director of the ACLU of Texas. "Otherwise Texas will end up with a patchwork system that is impractical and unenforceable."

In November, City Council members unanimously approved having property managers or owners verify the immigration or citizenship status of apartment renters. Council members also approved resolutions making English the city's official language and allowing local authorities to become part of a federal program so they can enforce immigration laws.

More than 50 municipalities nationwide have considered, passed or rejected similar laws, but until now that trend hasn't been matched in the Lone Star State.

I am naturalized citizen of United States of America
I want say something about illegal Immigrants and Americans.

Unfortunately there are to many Americans
to don't know what legal and illegal immigrants it is;
so any criticism about immigration coming from this kind of people
are totally out of any logic.

Then for SOME Americans I say again FOR SOME Americans
when they understand you are not from here because you have
an foreign accent they begin to ignore you..

Now Question is:

is not time to know the difference between illegal and legal
immigrants before judge??

I suggest you to ask your grandfather where you come from
before go around and say you are native America...

God Bless America

According to this article, Swift was punished by the Department of Homeland Security for testifying to congress about how difficult it is to comply with the law. It is true that if they fire someone without knowing for sure that the person is illegal, they can be sued. Immigration does not answer the phone to tell you if a particular person is legal or not.

Illegal immigration is a huge problem in the US, and we are doing nothing to stop it. I have taken notice that it is a problem in the European Union and is very prevelant in the UK. What is going on? Is this an international scandal? Who or what is behind this? Are all the countries in the world involed in some "new world government" sceme? It seems the government is funding this with taxpayer money. Why? The government is doing this without is own citizens permission, even with laws against it. It is being done even with taxpers angry and voting against it. What in the world is going on? Is the world becoming socialist? communist?

Most of our ancestors were immigrants themselves who replaced Native Americans.

I have heard and read that millions of dollars that illegal immigrants earn here in the U.S does not go back into our economy, like it should. But, it is sent back to the illegal immigrants families in thier respective country. Why doesn't the government impose a large tax to Western Union and other money transfer places when the money is sent out of the country? We all know this tax would be transfered to the customer in the form of a fee and then the taxes could go to fund schools and emergency rooms that the illegals are clogging up. I don't think we can ever stop illegals from coming here, but if we can make them pay, maybe people will be a little nicer to them since they do all the crappy work Americans don't want to.
What do you think?

NEW DEAL for the 21st century - pay 1.5x minimum wage and citizenship after 10 years of public service work on our nations bridges , roadways and dams. ( if worked post-depression and it beats a guest worker program that will only help a few make money - people talk about the lawn guy but it's the chicken plucker at the Tyson plant that they are fighting to keep )

OK now it is getting dumber and dumber. The ACLU is now sueing this town because they made it a crime to rent to Illegal aliens. Why is it wrong for the government to start doing its job?
I personally think that they did right, but, it should also state renting to anyone in commission of a crime, be it illegal aliens or dope dealers. Comments? Should ANYONE commiting a crime, no matter what, be bared from renting?
