If so..........have they given you any input into results of their presence? Do they feel they are a doing a GREAT service for the USA?
We recently found out a great friend was sent.........he left a job that paid over 80 grand to do his time. I want to hear your comments BEFORE I post "HIS" comments.

DAR........
Left his fleet supervisor job for his NG duty. He has gained 30 pounds, reported ONE sighting and is actually becoming sympathetic to the "plight". He hasn't sent the details of his "day to day" as I just found out 2 days ago he was gone (I am a bad friend) but his quick email was one of feeling "inadequate". That is where I was going with the question.......how many others feel they could be doing more.......HE DOES!

Yes! and the Border Patrol is hiring a lot of service men also. If he feels that way then the service (Military or Border Patrol) is not his calling. He is better off being a civilian. He should asked to be relief of this duty. The Border Patrol is just like the Military they use almost all of the same equipment as the military does. and training is almost the same but with Immigration Laws.

Believe it or don't........my grandfather served with Company F of the Second Iowa National Guard on the Mexican Border (Brownsville, TX) in 1916 and 1917. They were chasing Pancho Villa and his friends who had been making routine border incursions into Texas and shooting up small border towns. They never got him.

Well, they way they structured the duty was pretty pathetic. He might feel more useful if he were actually able to patrol.

That is why we need a wall - it doesn't get bored.....;)
