I totally understand that illegal immigration is a crime and shouldnt be allowed but when people think about this they think Mexicans, Here in NY there are illegals from Europe, asia everywhere and people dont mind them as much as they mind Mexicans, so because they are white and pretty is ok for them not to be legal? When they see a mexican or someone that looks mexican they assume the person is illegal its just sad, Alot of mexicans that qualify for benefits dont get them because they are too scare of being cought and deported and dont even get medical help when they need it, They are not the only criminals, some americans make it easy on them selling them social securities and giving them jobs off the books and renting them houses to live, I see more news of African Americans commiting crimes than immigrants but yet they have more of a problem with mexicans, I dont judge anybody because Im not perfect and Im not better than anybody else, so i dont get why people do this so much

My passport contains my visa stamp. I just received notification that my conditions have been removed from greencard and I need to go to immigration offices with letter and passport to get unconditional green card. However, I need to renew passport first and when I went to do this I could not find anywhere.
So, now I need to renew a missing passport which contained my documentation of legal status. I do have photocopies of my visa info but want to know the best way to proceed.
Any help would be much appreciated.

PAHRUMP, Nev. -- Nevada's banking community is worrying that a proposed local law in Nye County's largest community would make it illegal for illegal immigrants to open accounts or cash checks.

"How do I do business in Pahrump with an ordinance like this?" Bill Martin, president of Nevada State Bank, said of the proposed "English Language and Patriot Reaffirmation Ordinance."

The law would prohibit accepting foreign identification, offering housing, or loaning or giving money to undocumented immigrants in this fast-growing town 60 miles west of Las Vegas. It would make English the official language and prohibit flying a foreign flag by itself.

Officials said the identification provision could stop the town's banks from accepting as identification a card that since 2002 has issued by the Mexican Consulate in Las Vegas."

So.... how do foriegners open accounts? How does this work w/ ATMs? I use those in Mexico...

I'm against illegal immigration, but see issues. U?

Well done for daring to publish the article today. Though never having been a big fan of Mr Jack Straw, I must applaud him for his comments that represent the vast majority of his constituents. The backlash from this will be huge. I, as many others feel personal insulted when I see a Muslim women veiled in the way that they are. It is in insult to MY way of life, MY country, MY traditions, MY religion and most of all to members of MY family who died to keep this country free from, fanatical, ill-informed, indoctrinated, misguided and brain-washed individuals, who also happened to dress in black.
If I decided to become a devout Christian and decided to walk around Blackburn in a peaked hat with 2 slits for eyes, as they do in Seville, Spain during semana santa, I would be arrested, for racism.
Why are these people here? Is it for the warm inviting climate? Or the welcoming bars or the great and many varied ways we can prepare pork or maybe or scantly clad females and open mindedness of the locals. Maybe not. So why do you come to a country where everything you resent is forefront? Or maybe WE have got it all wrong. If you want to be a topless model, choose Tehran to launch your career, thinking of opening a surfing school?..... has to be the Dead Sea, watch wild wilder beast roaming the plains?.. has to be Iceland. These people chose to live here. By doing so they wanted to live our lifestyle. They have blatantly failed to do that. They have insulted it and disrespected it. In doing so they have also jeopardized the reputation and integrity of the majority of Muslims who can live within the community, practise their religion and mutually share their culture to the benefit of all. We refuse to accept the KKK way of dressing, why should we accept theirs.
If this is such a respectfull and caring religion the first thing you would do is respect the environment you live in and consider the feelings of those around you. Many will cry but we are British, we have British passports, but as the old saying goes....if a dog is born in a stable does it become a horse.?.....yes.. but only when it starts behaving like a horse. if not, well............
Loose the veil or try the USA where no veils are EVER EVER visible. Wonder why

Well lets start off with the theory that these people do jobs that americans dont want

It is my belief that this is in fact wrong the reason i think this is wrong is because even people of color that migrate illegaly state that there almost slaves right? work for low pay right?
Does big BUISNESS Really need to pay so low? No my friend they dont they make huge profit off these people. Second thing is can big buisness afford to take regular workers or american citizens and still make profit? This is one of my biggest points....Yes big buisness in deed can make a profitable income off of your average joe american citizen even if they paid on the high end instead of 1.25 or 5 make it 10 dollars they still in deed would make a profit it might not be as big but it still would be a profit

so those who say we need them... Do we really my though is we dont but big buisness is greedy find a way to enforce a law on big buisness and bringing the minimum wage up and you have fixed one

That illegal immigrants are the reason minimum wage is $5.15 and hour in most states. I know that is why but let's see the clever lies the anti's come up with to evade the truth.

if we decriminalize pot in the usa, make it legal and tax it the same as alcohol with similar laws with driving and such..let the mexicans grow it in there country add a federal tax to it to pay us back what they owe..keep a import tax on it and this would give them a cash crop in there country and a reason to return home.. the market here would increase and be better off because everyone would have the munchies and be allot more peaceful to one another..just a idea, and of course we could add some things also.. opinions?

I live in a nieghborhood where 90 percent of the people are illegals. (forced to live here because me roomate got me evicted) Anyways I am constantly being threatened and chased by little gangster cholos and I soon see East LA here in Neveda and other places. If the Illegal Mexicans supposively have such great family values and raise there children better than Americans then why are there children some of the most out of control scariest people I have ever been around? I don't want to get involved in their little gang wars but even if I mind my own business they are so confrontational.

what is the most time before it becomes cruel or unusual? I knew a guy that has been deported and has been in detention for a month now, they place them in a jail with hardened criminals until they have enough to return them to their country.

I am sick, sick, sick of hearing about her and looking at her when she comes out on the news, with her bastard child, the only reason I say bastard is because it is obvious that she probably doesn't even know who the father is. What really irks me is that if other ILLEGAL are being deported, what makes this one so special? There are others that also don't want to leave their so called "citizen kids" behind but immigration sends their criminal behinds out any how so why is this criminal being treated differently?? Does this mean that from now on all ILLEGALS that are about to get deported could just run into a church and they will be spare??

The reason why Buddism in ancient China diminished in popularity is because people were complaining that it drained their country financially. The Buddist retaliated by saying they helped the Country more than they hurt it but eventually the Emporer seen them for what they were a financial drain and tax evading freeloaders gaining more power by the year. China tore down countless monastaries, reclaimed the land and forced thousands of monks back into lay life. Do you think the U.S. will have a similar out come in the Illegal immagration situation? Or will illegal immigration be the down fall of America Because the goverment is to scared to do anything?

The development and building up of the new super-country would spur our economy for centuries and stop the bickering.

Also, I believe this would give us other viable political parties to help balance out the elections.

My first preference is that we just start enforcing our own immigration laws first.

"Q Thank you. On a different topic. You've said you will sign the border fence bill to build 700 miles of fence along the U.S. border, but DHS has said it prefers a virtual fence of sensors and cameras rather than an actual wall. Are you committed to building the 700 miles of fence, actual fencing?

THE PRESIDENT: Yes, we're going to do both, Joe. We're just going to make sure that we build it in a spot where it works. I don't -- DHS said they want a virtual wall. I don't believe that's the only thing they've said. I think you might have truncated their statement, because we're actually building fence, and we're building double fence in particular -- in areas where there is a high vulnerability for people being able to sneak in.

I think it is. You can have an opinion on illegal immigration. None of us here are in favor of it. But some of you seem downright hateful, violent and members of the KKK. (I said some) This hate is directed at certain groups, especially Mexicans. I know many Mexicans legal and illegal, and they are fine people who work very hard, love their families, and the girls are very cute. Some of you seem so obsessed by them, as if a Mexican stole your husband or wife. It's scary, cause you're killing your insides with hatred, and the law of the universe states it will only come back to you.....and believe me most Mexicans I know are too busy to even give you a second thought. (I'm not Latino by the way, but know people of all cultures, and love both the Asian and Hispanic cultures)

Just because that many of the immigrants to that country are speaking the language, now they want everyone (from the real citizens to the non-latino immigrants) to conform to their bandwagon?

Go to any other normal country and you'll see that they require their immigrants to learn the language of the accepting country, not the other way around.

What is wrong with these people? is it arrogance, disrespect for the USA, or something else?
