Funny thing is, if that fence is built, they'll have to hire illegals because there won't be enough Americans available or willing to do the hard labor

Why not give the people that want to work on the fence a work pass to help build it.They can work on it each day,return to Mexico at night and come to work the next day.That would benefit both sides of the border.I'm talking about paying them for their work,not free labor..Anything you get for free has no value,trust me.This way would help both sides of the border.But to work on the fence you must live in Mexico if you are not a legal immigrant.
Why wouldn't that work better?

That's like asking the inmates to build their prison or having a convicted thief install your security system. There's enough angry citizens that would happily volunteer to build it if the government would let them.

How about 'fence-bot'. Get the job done right, get it done FAST, and get it done on-budget by using modern technology to get the job done. There was NEVER this much sniveling about getting the freeways built...
