I don't know immigration law, so I was just wondering if the rules are the same for everyone or not.

The rules are the same but include across the board special cases for those countries with little immigration here. Mexico, having so much immigration here does not qualify for those. On the one hand, Mexico gets far more visas etc than other countries, particularly family related ones. On the other hand, since so many Mexicans are getting visas, people with no family or money who want to come find it harder from Mexico. For example they are not eligible for the diversity green card lottery which is to give countries with low immigration here a chance at a green card above normal channels.

It is quite obvious to me that Mexicans can get U.S. citizenship faster than all other immigrants put together plus the birth rate of the regular American citizens. The demographics of the United States has changed so dramatically just in my lifetime. In many cities in our country it helps a great deal if you can speak the Mexican dialect of Spanish.

No, the rules are not the same. In fact I found it quite difficult to get my wife on a flight to Atlanta from Phoenix while I still see Arabs going to flight schools in Arizona. So as you can see, America IS a land of opportunity. Some people get opportunity that is just more equal than others.

yes it is harder for mexicans.. The reason is because of so many who enter illegaly but if mexicans didnt enter illegaly then that would change it might take some time know but it would change. The problem is with so many mexicans comming in it is harder to bring people over from other countries because they are heavily populating which makes it unfair to the chinese russian and other countries that want to come here. Plus the fact that We the united states do not have good relations at the moment with many countries brakes alot of ties and makes immigration as a hole hard to come here

It's easier for professionals to become citizens. For example nurses, because of the shortage in the US. Otherwise, it's the same.

Not necessarily, it depends on how much money they make. It is difficult for most people who don´t have a significant salary or educational background to become citizens.
