No. Rosa Parks was a citizen being denied her legal rights.

Elvira Arellano is a convicted criminal who returned after deportation, received another deportation order, and is trying to stay to take advantage of the good thing she got illegally to begin with.

She should be deported if only because she is so bad for her own side of the argument. Bush should want her gone. Her presence and our government's inaction infuriates people at this point and just leads to greater distrust that if the goverment gets 'what they want' they will do anything like 'what they promise' in solving the problem.

Look at it this way: Elvira Arellano wouldn't have been eligable for legalization even under the Senate Bill. So what on earth is all of this nonsense about?

NO, there can not be any comparison between the two.
Miss Rosa Parks was a legal American and she was only asking for her rights as such. She is a hero of the Black American civil Rights Movement. She was not a criminal.
The coward hiding in that storefront Methodist church is a two time convicted illegal immigrant, that was scheduled for deportation, she is a criminal trying to manipulate the legal system .Her name should not even be used in the same sentence as Rosa Parks, she was/is a hero to millions, not a criminal.

If Rosa Parks was a lysol-huffing welfare squatter, then yes.
This lady's just the poster-child for more citizen oversight of things like I.C.E., and stronger legislation that's aimed at strongly helping to encourage Mexico to deal with its' own social issues.
Since their domestic policy now amounts to 'move to the United States', well...it's time to get that fence built. Write your city council today expressing your opposition toward tolerance of illegal immigration! Mexico will never reform that way until a full majority of americans show they're tired of the whole game...

No one will ever compare to Rosa Parks. She was a citizen fighting for her rights as a CITIZEN. She didn't run and hide like a coward. She stood up and demanded her rights in the face of the opponent.

no, and i think you already asked this....heres why:
she was not legal here
she was not on a bus
she was not an opressed minority

the only connection I see is that she is standing up for what she believes is right.
