Write to them, e-mail them, but let them know how you feel about legalizing illegal immigrants. I did. I ask what other laws we can disregard till they change them for us? We can complain to each other but that does no good. At least let the politicians know how the voters feel about the whole thing. Good idea?

"Massive deportations "would require separating parents from their 3 million American-born children," he said, earlier this month at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank in Washington. "Some say the children could decide if they go with their parents or stay. Can you imagine that?"

My husband and I are going to be married 5 years this year and want to take a small trip within the US. Are there any places that might be heated because of this immigration media frenzy that we should avoid? We have already been to Chicago, and might go back, but I would like your suggestions on someplace new.

Why are we importing poverty. This isn't because these immigrants aren't hardworking; many are. Nor is it because they don't assimilate; many do. But they generally don't go home, assimilation is slow and the ranks of the poor are constantly replenished. ... It is a conscious policy of creating poverty in the United States while relieving it in Mexico .
Immigrant-rights organizers ...seem to be saying there is some inherent right being expressed when people sneak into the country, thumb their noses at the law, and make fools of those who wait patiently in foreign lands for visas to come to the United States."What we are witnessing is not the birth of a new civil rights movement but the attempt to render meaningless the concept of border controls." The spectacle of illegal alien residents lecturing citizen hosts on what was permissible in our own country."Why want Washington toughen enforcement, penalize employers who hired undocumented workers and make border crossing more costly. Then fewer people will move illegally to America?

Or is this country open for anyone who wants to shuffle over the boarder?

They're problem is similar to ours, except that there doesn't seem to be indication that the illegals are showing up at the tribe shools, or to use tribe health care.

What do you think?

"...The issue of illegal immigration is less about charity or human kindness and more about national sovereignty, borders, and a nation’s purpose for existing. The victims of illegal immigration are the American people. Why is Congress, the Senate and the President considering the welfare of Mexican citizens before they listen to the will of the American people?"

If so, why? Just to prove your point I suppose.
I respect the anti-illegals and the pro-illegals, who still are "sane"
enough to think rationally.
I am targetting the 'bad people' in Yahoo Answers who use this medium of communication and EXPLOIT it to their own satisfaction.

It must really hurt right now on both sides of the party, but dont fall for what you really dont believe in. Hate, anger and suffering will give you medical problems later on in life, psychological issues manifest physically as it usually does. Hate IS the worst cancer.
You dont wanna teach your babies to HATE, it leads to nothing but stress or arrest.

On Oct. 17, 1986, the U.S. Senate approved an immigration bill prohibiting hiring of illegal aliens while offering amnesty to illegals who entered the U.S. prior to 1982. This law was enacted to stop the flow of illegals entering the U.S. In 2006, the huge inflow of illegal immigrants has grown and doubled in size -- in complete violation and disregard for the 1986 immigration bill. In 1986, there were approximately 5 million illegally in the U.S. versus 12+ million today. Obviously, amnesty is not the solution.Should Mexico be rewarded or punished [sanctioned] for not enforcing border control?

We Americans are fools, bleeding heart imbiciles that need to get with the program. When they come here, no insurance, no ID, no Passport, no Resident Alien card required, just come on in, and let Joe Blow taxpayer pick up the tab. Want to know what happens if you have to go to the hospital in Mexico?

And that whore in the church should be kicked in the *** all the way back to Mexico. Did you know she had been deported once, came back a few days later, got a job in Chicago using a STOLEN social security number, and is now defying a deportation order? Jeesh, how many shots do criminals get at braking the law?

i'm not saying i believe any of the above, but that's how i see the immigration page.

do you see what i mean, though?

"Kimmel laid out a five-ordinance plan in an Aug. 10 column in the Arcadia News-Leader, that would, among other things: make English the official language in Arcadia, a city of whose 2000 population of 2,402 has been swelled in recent years by predominantly Mexican immigrants drawn largely by jobs at nearby dairies; require an American flag to fly alongside any other national flag; alert federal agents to complaints of undocumented workers; and ensure signs are in English only.

Kimmel said non-English speaking residents put a drain on government resources and that illegal immigration has increased crime and hurt neighborhoods."
