They're problem is similar to ours, except that there doesn't seem to be indication that the illegals are showing up at the tribe shools, or to use tribe health care.

What do you think?

It seems that these people have been dealing with this situation for quite a while and holding their own, they just need some more money from the feds to continue to defend their homeland from these "Hard working, impoverished immigrants" Who leave a trail of trash wherever they happen to be. The criminals even disrespect the indigenous culture of the Tohono's on their own reservation by setting up their Catholic shrine without even asking for permission, yet the Native peoples do not destroy the shrine because that would be disrespectful of them. Even though the shrine is on sacred tribal grounds. This makes my heart sick. If there were ever a reason for me to dislike the criminal trespassers, this would be it. Disrecspectful scum is what they are! no matter what any others may say! I hope that the Tohono O'odhams get the funding they are asking for and more, to combat this invasion of a soveriegn nation.

The illegals have better sense than to try to get a job where none exists. Unemployment is rampant on most reservations and most people live below the poverty level. To attend school or get health care, from my
understanding, you would need a census number.

Good luck to our Native brothers and sisters. I'm glad the tribes are trying to do something......unlike the Feds poor attempts.

A census is a sensible approach to the whole thing, so's actually putting in a border fence. The Arizona tribes would be farther along to actually emplace a fence along the southern boundary of their reservation and practice prevention by keeping people OUT.
This isn't brain surgery, and that fencing isn't going to cost THAT much to install, at any rate it'll be a damn sight cheaper than dealing with the unintended consequences...

Mexico's problems always become the U.S.A. problems. Instead of Iraq, Bush really should of invaded Mexico replace the entire government over there, the current set up in Mexico is not working a-tall.
