Habaneras are the hotest peppers known to man. When cut, the aroma can actually burn your eyes to the point of tears. With no disrespect intended, how can Mexicans eat them right off the plant?

I love hot but that is dangerously inferno hot....That's why Mexicans don't get hemorrhoids...it burns them off!

Not all Mexicans can.

It's a matter of building yourself up to a strong enough picante tolerance level.

actually, not many people can do this. its usually the older people and adults that can eat one, but the ones that can are really good

i'm not sure, but it may be a sort of "aquired taste"

and also, the reason the more elder people can do it easily is probably because as you get old, you taste buds start to die off

that's not true I'm Mexican but I was born here and i cant eat that or any hot stuff

They have to build up to it over years. My fiance tried one, but I guess he wasn't ready, he had me cracking up though.
