The Church has branches in Mexico, too, they can look after this woman...this is 'anchor baby' writ large, and it shows the determination and widespread seriousness of the immigration issue. She's decided to use the church as a physical sanctuary and make a media spectacle of herself rather than abiding by the law.

The Church, as an entity, regardless of denomination, may as well include Mosques and Temples while you're at it, has always been fairly independent of the government, but in recent years as more and more scandals have come to light, it's kind of apparent that they're really not interested in adhering to the law of the land, reference the Billionaire Baptists, the problem is thus: Churches get a Lot Of Money. People with a Lot of Money will tend to try and flaunt the law, which is kind of how the whole illegal immigration thing got started anyway, in my view, because someone decided to open up a farm and make money off illegal labor. Fast-forward to 2006, where it's estimated that there are somewhere between 12 and 20 million illegal immigrants in the country, and then the May spectacle and now this, and you can see how chronic failures in our legal and law enforcement systems have helped brew up a doozie of a problem which will likely take years to reverse, and involve making some Hard Choices such as 'anchor baby', as well as actually putting in the border fence, but the border fence won't be a universal panacea against the problem either. This is a 'biggie', and people really need to dialogue with their state officials and representatives on it and get it solved. If Congress caves on this one, you're going to see taxes go up, and businesses go OUT of the country, because they're going to bolt to protect their financial interests.
Would you maintain a business in a state that had ~(infinite) as the upper cap on allowable immigration? No, because eventually as they ran higher and higher deficits to finance the whole mess, they'd come knocking on YOUR door eventually, at which point your profit margin might be halved, or even eliminated.
The people with the big social engineering ideas, which is what I think immigration enforcement negligence really amounts to, a form of social engineering, need to stop and take a deep breath before they put more red ink on the AmeriCharge. Half the country or better is already 8 grand, 10 grand in the red, not counting car and mortgage payments. I don't know how many states are in the red, but I'd wager it's over half. Nationally, we rack up another 2 billion a day in foreign-owned debt, someone needs to cash in a Reality Check, here, and put the emphasis back on managed growth, and enlightened foreign aid policies.
In other words, 'curb your politician'....

They should have ripped her *** out of there days ago and sent her home! Allowing these illegals to stay is a kick in the face not only to Americans but to the immigrants that came here legally!

I think someone should look into the activities of that church in general .... how many other political activities are they involved in? Is it a bona fide church? What's the background of the pastors and bishops? Maybe I'm getting paranoid ... :(

Yes, I don't care if she's in a church or at a churro stand, she's breaking the law, get her the heck out of here.

Yes, it would not be her first time either. If she wants the kid to stay, I'm sure there would be lots of people willing to adopt him.
