I know that most people in this part of yahoo answers are here because they hate mexicans and can't stand the fact that they are in the US. I'm mexican and not planing on becoming a US citizen ever, I have a very good life here, but I know I'm very lucky and a very small part of this country is as lucky as I am. I LOVE shopping in the US, love american television and lots of other american things.
I also know that many of the illegal immigrants end up being criminals, but not all of them, most of them go to the US to find a better life, just like your ancestors did, or are all of you native americans?
These people have a very hard life in Mexico and they risk their lives for the chance of a better life.
I know that they shouldn't be there, but they still should be treated like human beings
But please tell me for my information, because I would really like to know;
How many of you are out of a job because some illegal immigrant took it from you?
How does it affect you personaly?

Just makes me sick to see some one give the advice " don't do anything" or "some one will kick your ***... " . goes to show me these people are not able to assimilate with the American public.

I always hear of illegals sending the $$ back to Mexico....well, if you want to be in the USA then come legally, work hard and help support our economy....don't come illegally and send money back to Mexico!!

Having a baby in the U.S. makes the baby a citizen, according to the Constitution, and to change this rule, you have to amend the Constitution.

Also, current immigration law does not allow anyone under the age of 18 to sponsor their parent for an immigrant visa. These parents do not receive citizenship because their children are citizens, and they do not receive any kind of pass to stay in the country. It actually just causes a lot of problems for themselves and the baby.

Everyone, got upset about Segregation, they called, it Racism....

Now, the BLACKS, have BET, (BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION), NAACP, they can go to work, and sleep... But if you fire, them, they go see the NAACP, and file Racism on you.. Hello, I have a problem with an illegal immigrant from Mexico. I would not like to get into the "why" of it, but the "how." Does anyone know of who I can directly contact to get this matter dealt with? I would like him deported as soon as possible.

OK, since people seem so keen on babies ... how about this? All those who are applying for green cards legally, skip over to the U.S. on a tourist visa, have the baby, rip up the application form ... right? Will do away for the necessity of any immigration law except for people above child bearing age and gays ...

Second, Al Quaida or Hesbollah or other merry men can start impregnating, let's say, 1000 women a month ... send them over here on tourist visas ... they have their babies ... next month, another 1000 come over ... all children of course being raised in "the faith" .. we have to unify the families, so in comes dad as well ... talk about home grown terrorists ... but hey, they're American citizens ... who is going to look after them if their parents are deported?? Is that what we want? Is that what the 14th was intended for? Because that's what the 14th allows as we speak ....

When they can do it by car and just stopped for a few seconds by a border agent that ask some questions about the reason of his/her visit and leave him/her come here?

People are dieing walking from mexico. why cant america give us a bus ride into america and across aztlan so we can get towhere we work. america has no problem giving us a bus ride back to the boarder. america will also spend money to send there children to school on bus but some kids live in the same city to where they go to school at. this seems like a waste of money when people are dieing trying to come to america

This seems like the newest illegal immigration arguement; the arguement supporting illegal immigration seems to go further away from the core issues of economic impact, security problems, cultural issues, etc. and extends further out to "periphery" issues like most illegal immigrants are hard workers or what would you do? Should Americans be held liable for children of illegals? Either way, Americans are now immoral for either breaking up families if children are allowed to stay(and then wouldn't Americans have to pay for the children with more taxes?), or, immoral for deporting children along with their families and sending them to a culture "foreign" to them. Did illegal immigrants put these children in jeopardy by having them here to begin with? Do illegal immigrants bear no responsibility for the consequences of bringing children illegal to the US- either being deported with their families or being allowed to remain without family members who came illegal as wards of America?

Not all of them are lawbreakers except for the fact that they crossed the border illegaly. They contribute to our countrty more than they take away, just in the state of California its a difference of 3 million takeaway - 100 million contribution dollars a month (97 million dollars is still a pretty good deal for me). Most of the Hospital cases are pregnant women and it's not "your taxes" that pay for it but the medicaid of the newborn child. At least, all the illegals that I know do pay taxes and report them every year. I may not change your way of thinking but at least clear the mud that Lou Dobbs has built over time.
