What's with all the Mexican bashing????

Question

I know that most people in this part of yahoo answers are here because they hate mexicans and can't stand the fact that they are in the US. I'm mexican and not planing on becoming a US citizen ever, I have a very good life here, but I know I'm very lucky and a very small part of this country is as lucky as I am. I LOVE shopping in the US, love american television and lots of other american things.
I also know that many of the illegal immigrants end up being criminals, but not all of them, most of them go to the US to find a better life, just like your ancestors did, or are all of you native americans?
These people have a very hard life in Mexico and they risk their lives for the chance of a better life.
I know that they shouldn't be there, but they still should be treated like human beings
But please tell me for my information, because I would really like to know;
How many of you are out of a job because some illegal immigrant took it from you?
How does it affect you personaly?

If you came here illegally, you have broken the law and should face charges accordingly. Period. Coming to a new country by breaking the law is not a good way to start out in that country. And I don't think it's a good idea to come on here and blatantly say you are illegal and have no intention of becoming legal.

My ancestors came here legally, so it's NOT the same thing. Legal vs. Illegal. THAT'S the issue... not immigrant vs. non-immigrant. We would welcome you with open arms if you followed the process and came here legally.

If life is so hard in Mexico, work to make it better! Stay there, fight to make it better like LEGAL immigrants did by coming to THIS country a few hundred years ago.

Why can you keep your "official" language of Spanish but America can't have an "official" language of English? I see YOU learned English, but it should be a requirement.

While I haven't lost a job to an illegal immigrant, speaking Spanish is becoming a preferred skill for jobs. In the state I moved from 5 years back, it's getting harder and harder for me, a white English-speaking female, to get a job unless I learn Spanish. Why should I HAVE to in order to get a job in my own country!?!

Illegal (and legal, for that matter) immigrants from Mexico are procreating faster than just about any other group of people, so within 20 years or so, they will be the majority in America.

Finally, when it comes to college, what will happen to my son... a white male? He won't have all of the extra help that immigrants get because he's white. We are fast becoming the minority in our own country and all of the assistance and financial aid is being funnelled to all other "minorities" who are fast becoming the majority.

This situation is made worse by the ILLEGAL immigrants. I have no beef with the legal immigrants, but they are a small population compared to the illegal immigrants. I'm frustrated, that's all.

I am a friend of chicanos and latinos. But let's face it - you said yourself you do not want to become a citizen - ever. Do you know that in France they could deny you entry or tell you to leave if you can't prove you have enough to keep living there without work? AND they will NOT let you take away a French person's job unless you are what they call "creative" - you wrote a book, you're a musician, a person with patents, a business developer offering jobs. Why is it so hard for you to become assimilated? All my European ancestors who came became citizens. Before you judge me know I am part Native American, so if anyone should be bitter it should be me, but you see this is not the past - this "European" thing will not go away. Why do you want to hold your identity separate from this melting pot? I have Scottish ancestors too and am proud of it, but for God's sake I AM AMERCAN!!!!! Does this mean you and I have to think the same and have the same interests to get along? Not at all. Just bend a little. I am bi-lingual and love speaking Spanish but I made the effort to learn. What about all the various peoples in this world that do NOT want to make any effort to learn because they really hate America but don't have any problem USING her? What about that? Sounds like you want your cake and eat it too. Sorry, most Americans (including a lot of my naturalized citizen friends from not only Mexico but other countries as well) are fed up - the welfare lines and the hospitals and the borders willl get closed even if Bush doesn't do anything about it. We all did it the legal way. Who are you to be so important that the law doesn't apply to you - the Queen?

truth be told i love latin women my ex wife was colombian and right at the moment i have been dating a mexican from monteray mexico for about 2 years she is illigal. However people arent bashing but have a good point on this topic of why there are so many negitives involved with illigal immigration i will let you think about that

I also do not hate Mexicans. I don't even know any Mexicans. I hate illegal immigration from all countries because of how it is downgrading the USA by the flooding of illegal immigrants who cause hospitals to be shut down; who cause schools to be overcrowded and therefore the quality of education for our children to be greatly reduced, and they don't pay taxes towards education; who commit crimes such as defrauding Social Security by using illegal SSNs and causing the persons whose numbers they use all kinds of havoc and legal headaches, often ruining those persons credit forever; driving without valid licenses and insurance and thereby causing untold misery when they are involved in accidents; using social services that they should NOT be entitled to receive because they don't pay taxes towards these things; abusing our systems by purposely giving birth on US soil in order to take advantage of the anchor baby laws (which, by the way, should be removed from the books!); causing our acceptable wage levels for many jobs and occupations to drop to the point where it is no longer viable for a US citizen to do those jobs, because of illegals being willing to work for peanuts under the table; and many, many more reasons! As far as I'm concerned, you do not have to be "personally" affected in the way that you mean, such as having lost a job to an illegal immigrant. We are ALL hurt financially, socially, and economically by this problem of illegal immigration for the reasons I have just stated and much more. Legal citizens should have the right to say, "NO, I am not okay with financially supporting Mexico's poorest of the poor. NO, I am NOT okay with my child's education being compromised so that Mexico's poorest of the poor can have a free education on my dollar. No, I am not okay with my tax dollars going to support Mexico's citizens!" What do you think gives illegal immigrants the right to TAKE from us what is NOT theirs? TAKE from us what WE have worked for and what is OURS? It is like they are all here with their hands in our pockets! It just so happens that Mexicans are the largest group of illegals and they recently made themselves much more visible with their May marches and protests and so that is why it may appear that Mexicans are specifically being targeted - Mexicans brought THAT upon themselves! However, no I hate ALL illegal immigrants equally!
