Now, the BLACKS, have BET, (BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION), NAACP, they can go to work, and sleep... But if you fire, them, they go see the NAACP, and file Racism on you.. The Mexicans, have channels about everything in spanish.... , but if the white race, does, any thing, that hint's it is for whites only, we are RACIST......

now days if you are white and have an opinion about any other race...than you are racist. But if someone of color has an opinion about whites...then they are speaking their mind about what white people have done to them! Some love to play the race card!

I think that tv is ruled by what people want to see...not by a specific race!

The essence of your question concerns language. That is, there are what appears to be a signifigant number of Spanish speaking channels in contrast to a few in German, French, Filipino and a (majority in) English. The rather frightening thing is, that there are an evergrowing number of Spanish channels. This indicates an expanding population of Spanish speakers, which in my mind could indicate we are allowing a disproportionate number of Spanish speakers into the country. It would seem, most may be illegally here ...and the big corporate TV?media guys are feeding the fires of what is likely, Illegal Immigration.
This plays into the hands of those who want "Amnesty X 2."
This again shows our government, our politicians and representatives have been bought out by the big $$$$$$'s to line their own pockets and serve their own interests.... Not protect the common man's rights and or needs or legal expectations.
I have nothing against TV stations, broadcasting in other languages. That's not the point really is it? The problem is indicated by that occurrance. We are now having to teach our classes in public school in Spanish, as they (students) are frequently the majority (mostly illegal). This must stop or all English speakers are going to have to get ready for a very rude awakening one day (I predict) very soon!

Then make a white tv channel if you care about it so much. You're allowed to watch BET if you want to, you know. I'm not going to shoot you or anything. The only reason white people don't make their own tv channel is because it'll be considered racist because there's a lot of racist history behind you guys, no offense. I say tv should be for everybody of all colors! And I don't see anything wrong with the "mexican" channels....you can learn something from them. I do think we should get rid of the hong kong channel though.

Anyone can create any organization to advance any agenda they want. That's 1st Amendment freedom of speech and freedom of association.

Anyone can launch any cable channel they want, in any language. If you want to have the Roman Network, with everything in Ancient Latin, go ahead. If you want the All Irish Network, with everything subtitled in Gaelic, go ahead. If you have enough people interested in watching your channel, you'll be able to get it picked up by cable networks.

Racism is saying that someone or something is bad just because it or they belong to a certain race. It has nothing to do with cultural pride.

Nobody says you cannot learn Spanish or French or Gaelic and watch channels that broadcast in those languages. And anyone is free to join or support the NAACP. They don't say you can't join if you're not black. That's the difference.

Racism IS saying that you can't join if you ARE a particular race.

I was once a manager...On occasion, I had to let go of blacks and whites. The blacks didn't go to the NAACP and the whites didn't whine that there wasn't an equivilent of the NAACP that they could go to, so what is your point?

Racism is not in my book but I think we have to be careful with how open our country can get. Luckily, I like blacks, Hispanics, Asians and all races but I have to say this: We're not a mulitcultural country but a multiracial country. It's a big difference because having many races but one culture is what we have now. But having many races and cultures would be something like Canada or Belgium. I'm all for multiracialism but not multiculturalism. If you look at Canada, the 3rd largest party is the Quebec party. Do we want a separatist party determining our country?

well viper here is my spin on this little problem. I don't mind a little TV for minorities, don't watch much but Mr. Dobbs anyway. I don't mind a few groups as long as they ain't bothering me or mine. BUT it has now become unpopulare for me to be white. I don't like that. I am pissed about that, i shouldn't be a stranger in my own land an outsider looking in so I plan on stopping it as do most Americans with a heart and a hand.

Minority groups have redefined segregation and racism to mean anything they want it to mean. There is absolutely no logic behind allow a BET but not allowing a white one.

Reverse discrimination is rampant; its been this way since the 70's and only getting worse. You have schools for women, schools for blacks, etc, but try to even have a club for white men and its a crime.
