Wow Zoe, you're on a roll today girl ... :) Well, we know the answer, don't we? Big business wants cheap labor ... cheap labor is illegal labor ... personally I don't think business is interested in amnesty per se, which would mean the former illegals would have legal status and be protected by labor laws etc.... they would much rather go with some kind of fuzzy guest worker program (which, incidentally, we already have, so no need to tinker around for any "comprehensive solutions") ... Bush is hand in glove with big corporations ... big corporations would bring back slavery if they could get away with it ... don't let's be fooled by a few slaps on the wrist for some employers; like the National Guard down at the border it will be tokenism ... a few penalties, a few guards ... lull us into a false sense of security that something is being done ... and then sit back and do nada as usual ... this administration is hellbent on selling out America to the corporations, which involves creating a permanent underclass of poorly paid workers .... it has nothing to do with being "kind" to ""poor people who just want to better themselves" ... people who fall for that crap, or worse still, condone it, are deluding themselves big time ...

That didn't really seem like a question, but a rambling nonsense political statement.
What you're getting at, though, is a bunch of issues that has people on both sides of the American political spectrum in favor of the status quo:
On the left, this is a human rights issue and it's felt that these people from Mexico have a right to make their opportunities better.
On the right, illegal immigration is a great source of cheap labor for Big Business and it helps keep all workers' (both legal and illegal) wages down.
People that are patiently waiting and going through the system will have the benefit of being in this country "legitimately" and not have to deal with whatever upcoming legislation we will have.
The real reality of the situation, of course, is that all of these people were more or less native to this area (the Southwestern part of North America) then, kind of arbitrarily, we (white folks) drew an invisible line across the landscape and said "that is Mexico and this is America".

I agree while ALOT of Illegals Simply want a better life. We simply cannot allow Illegals to continue to walk right in. Why? Because of the Criminals. We must have some way of checking these people out. 19 Hijackers pulled off 911 we have Thousands crossing our borders daily. Think about that if only 1 terriost crossed a day out of teh thousands that do. In less than one month we'd have another 911 group. Our government in place now refuses to Stop this because they care more for there Political party than they do about America. Big Business Wants them and There also hoping for Future votes. We need to send All the Pro Illegals in DC Home this November. So we can deal with the Illegals.

First of all honey if you were an immigrant from a non-white country you would know that we don't get treated like the ppl that come from Europe or Canada, etc. We get treated like dogs me and my family came here the right way and I've been here for 19 years and I still haven't got my green card, they keep on saying oh we have to process your info and etc. We have to take test about your history that you don't even know yourselves. We spend years trying to become a citizen, so am I mad that others choose to come in illegal? No, I mad because I didn't do the same thing instead I have to deal with the gov't and all there bullsh*t! So before you start saying stuff about making us look like fools we don't if anything I'll help everybody except for the native americans pack yourselves back to you guys country.

All too true. But "why won't Washington fix it?" -
because of Politics. One reason - the Republicans are hand in glove with the Employers who make money from the cheap labor. These employers refuse to accept any regulations that would stop them from hiring illegals and the employers pay large contributions to Republican campaign chests in order that no unfavorable laws be passed.

i might want to change the regulation that criminals have more beneficial rights than the sufferers..or so it type of feels..i think you gave up your rights for an effective existence once you probably did the crime..I hate that prisoners have an effective existence and each and every of the fundamentals of existence in a reformatory mutually with television, air con, warmth, solid healthful nutrition etc. even as the undesirable those who did not something incorrect have a not user-friendly time only having staple products...they get little help and artwork flat out for what they have.. it really is one in each and every of my puppy peeves for particular!!! This regulation ought to get replaced..The criminals that are stumbled on responsible should be giving not something more beneficial than a cellular and nutrition and water and sufficient warmth to shop them alive,,,not something more beneficial!!! No ask your self , it prices a lot to shop criminals in reformatory..and we the taxpayers ought to pay for his or her residing. i think there might want to be alot a lot less crime...I mean the killers and newborn abusers and crimes like that.

I call it colonization.Remember{and I hate to bring this up}the english settlers in America.First a few show up it's a novelty. Then it"s en masse.Pretty soon you are outnumbered, hostilities break out over cultural differences,The original citizens get slaughtered or put down into insignifigance. It happened all through history. We just don't get it because It never happened to us before.Personally I believe it is too late to stop them.
