Immigration - August 2006

This is an answer to many questions in this forum, what i wanna know is who's gonna fund this project. Ok so it will cost 65 million to build, and will hold 2000 illegals waiting for deprtation. Well let's see while they wait they will have to be fed, water and electrical billing, hygene facilities will be needed, and not to mention there is about 20 million illegals in the country, so to hold 2000 at a time, this will be a slow process. So if they can only hold 2000 and they gotta wait to get deproted, the deprotation will need funding, and if you can only hold 2000 at a time, to reach 20 million you'll have many years to go. All the while all this will need funding, wonder where will it come from, guess we should expect a tax increase. What I also like is how she said, goodbye mexico, so you wanna target not only illegals but mexicans too. You wanna send me to mexico, why, i've served the country, i'm an american with mexican heritage, well guess it goes beyond illegal issues.

People say, "well i'm of german heritage so does that mean I can wave the Nazi flag as pride in my culture". That is ignorant at most. First off, not all germans agreed with the Nazi party, but most comformed so as not to be murdered or their families murdered. You can show german cultural heritage in many other ways not specifically the Nazi flag. Isn't this just a big misconception. How about waving the german flag as honor on the day the berlin wall was toppled? Has nothing to do with the Nazi's now does it.

i mean come on you think your army is the greatest in the world, its not, how do you know it is? it has never been in war against canada or mexico (im talking about the present and venezuelas army, well that army is way better than ours they just purchased those high tech fighter jets and stuff from russia. Anyways, mexico's army is just as powerfull, dont underestimate what you dont know, and for the people who keep saying " oh texas kicked mexico's a-s-s blah blah blah.." it didn't and if you'd open a damn history book you'd know that the mexican army had weakend and beaten the american forces, the only thing that made the american army was a suprise attack on mexican soldiers. The mexican army was asleep when the americans decided to attack and capture the mexican flag as a sign of victory< this act was not allowed thats why the americans paid money after the war. Either way, you gringos would never want to go to war with mexico, you lost 2 vietnam a poor country what about that!

It will consist of 10 dome-like structures made of steel frames covered with a nylon-based materal. Each dome will house 200 beds for a total of 2,000 beds to hold illegals for deportation.

You people cry assimilation to american culture. Am I not speaking english, hello!!! Look at my record, i have no criminal record not even a parking ticket. I work and pay taxes like everyone else. I'm not on welfare. I am a veteran, i served 4 years in the military, 2 and a half in Iraq. Yet if i fly the mexican flag on a cultural holiday because of respect for my roots, everyone throws a fit and says i have to assimilate to american culture. What exactly is it? Do they not want to see beyond it and know that I have pride in this country, but i also acknowledge my roots. Why would you hate when i do this? What is the American culture, is it not what i described myself to be? I celebrate 4th of july every year of my life. Explain to me why you would judge me then?

Has anyone seen this? "Ten Middle Eastern and Asian immigrants sued the government Tuesday, alleging officials let their U.S. citizenship applications linger indefinitely by delaying background checks."
My question is, what gives them the right to assume they are in any position to sue the US government over ANYTHING!?!?! It is by our grace that we allow foreigners to immigrate into this country... this just shows how we are taken for granted.

A person once said that if he commited a crime 10 years ago, he would still be punished now. He said that if you were an illgal, no matter what your status is now, you should be deported. Well by his logic then anyone still alive that has been alive since the 40's would be deported to. Not only would you deport the current illegals but those who through the last 6 decades or more, have come to the US illegally. Well i don't think many people would stand for this seeing how they would have to deport a lot of non hispanics, and that's just wrong isn't it?

In the link I provided they describe a class action lawsuit by immigrants from Asia and Middle East demanding that they be granted citizenship after a review by a federal judge because they have waiting too long. This lawsuit if passed would automatically allow people on the waiting list for six months after application to become citizens. The US government hasn't done a background check on these guys so do you think the US is going to be letting a few terrorists in with the pack if the lawsuit goes through? Also what is your opinion on this lawsuit?

Are you anti-illegal, anti-illegal mexican or just anti-mexican, i can seem to put my finger on it yet. Half of you who cry havok about illegals always end up saying something antisematic about mexicans wether legal or illegal, so it seems less an anti-illegal issue and more an anti-mexican issue. If I walk down the street, half of you would probably think i'm an illegal just because i'm mexican, and i wouldn't doubt one or two of you would yell something at me. But if you knew me, you would change your mind about me and say something like not all mexicans only the illgeals, well that wasn't what you portrayed at first. Why the ignorance? No one complained about cubans celebrating by flaunting the Cuban flag on American soil. I thought the argument was "wave the American flag in America and no other flag", but it didn't seem to bother anyone. Yet if I fly the Mexican flag in celebration of a cultural holiday, i get stoned to death.

i understand we cant be over run with people,and should not let that happen,but the fact still remains ,its clear that many here in usa feel they are above all on the planet,how did we fall into such a god like state of mind ,viewing our selfs as such an important part of the planet,could this be noticed by those on earth that are more wise than us? how old is the american culture? how old is the cultre in china,could they be more wise? is seams possible due to the state of our economy as of today''our export to them% there's to us,we may have bigger guns but battles have always been won by the mind, their history proves this statement, it is my feeling we have much to learn in a very short amount of time to prevent the out come of what can take place,hopefully we can get over our complex of perfection and focus more on the end result of our nation, in say 500 years, how wise we where supose to be, will be more important than how smart we think we are today. ---what do you think?

for example your little girl or boy got into an accident and she or he had to have a blood transfusion from lets say someone who you think "looks" like an illegal, would you do it? or rather let the kid suffer or..worse.? just a question not meant to offend anyone.

i read a story before about a very racist man, he hated everyone who were immigrants..and his little boy got run over by a truck and
was sent to the e.r., on the way to the hospital he was flagged down by vietnamese guys and he didnt stop because of course he didnt like different people.
when he got to the hospital he was told that they were waiting for the blood donor, and the vietnamese guy came and gave blood and saved his boy. i dont know if it was a true story.
just thought i'd like to share.

of course in the hospital all donors are screened for diseases in the blood, now there is new technology so transfusions could be safer.

Id like to ask this 1 question that's been bugging me for some time now this is my first question that I am going to start on Yahoo Answers.Why does everyone or at least most people blame the Mexican for our problems when there is so many cultures here. is it because Mexico is so close to us so that's who we blame first for being here illegally and we have all these problems or should we look at our Government for getting us to this point.
