http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060802/ap_on_re_us/citizenship_lawsuits
In the link I provided they describe a class action lawsuit by immigrants from Asia and Middle East demanding that they be granted citizenship after a review by a federal judge because they have waiting too long. This lawsuit if passed would automatically allow people on the waiting list for six months after application to become citizens. The US government hasn't done a background check on these guys so do you think the US is going to be letting a few terrorists in with the pack if the lawsuit goes through? Also what is your opinion on this lawsuit?

What a heck of a country we have. People who are not citizens here can file a lawsuit against this country in it's own courts?? Where do these people get off doing that? Being a citizen of the US is not a God given right to every human being on the planet.
I think terrorists have and are and will come into this country. This will not change until this country gets serious about closing it's borders and protecting them.

We should have the laws speeded up for legal immigrants to discourage illegal. Then we would be getting college students instead of low paid labor people. We should continue checking each legal immigrant though, because we may be letting in the criminals if we do not.
Incidently, the guys in 9 11 were not illegal immigrants, but here in AZ not all the illegals sneaking over the border are Mexican either, so terrorists could come in that way. Tougher border protection and policing of border states is definitely needed. The police arrested 40 illegals with drugs and weapons in a house right next door to where I work, how safe do you think it is becoming here???

You mean with the illegal immigrants?
There is no right to come here. The lawsuit will lose. Judges don't even have the RIGHT to grant citizenship under our constitution. They have to interpret our constitution as to what laws exist now.
OK, I looked at it. There is an outside chance the court will order the government to 'affirm or deny' citizenship within a period of time. The court won't award it, though. The government can just say 'no' to everyone who hits a snag that makes it take longer than 6 months.

There should be no more immigration, either legal, or illegal.
Everyone should stay where they are now.
It is most certain that more terrorists are sneaking through into the US. They will become a nightmare for us, one day soon.

Im from an Asian country and im quite offended how you see us Asians. I believe that before an immigrant goes to US they'll be subjected to background checks and takes years before they get their visa and proceed to US. Terrorists dont take these risks of being caught.

I would be surprise at all if those incompetants at the federal level would let Osama Bin Laden into the country. The whole federal government is as competent as the keystone cops.
