How do I do it? I live in Virginia and he lives in Mexico, he has a tourist Visa and I would like him to come and live with me here, What do we need to do? and also he has a bachelors degree from a mexican university, would it work here? I know .. to many questions...I would appreciatte an acurate answer..thanks a lot!!

There's been so many questions - where's the press in all of this? Well, before you criticize me, watch and then give your objective opinion of the message.

I say this, because I remember the Gulf war was called 'The most wired war in history' where many times the press would be somewhere before the troops...and of course why the real issues of immigration that we enjoy here with free speech, isn't covered by mainstream media...

Have you noticed that all the imposters (I don't know how many they are, maybe one, maybe many) are all either acting like idiots, or are openly pro illegal, and try their best to discredit those who are anti illegals? And have you also noticed how they succeed throwing people off the main issue, which is that of illegal immigration, by hogging the message board with junk that is either openly defamatory, or in some instances very funny ....

But we are losing sight of what we're really discussing, namely issues having to do with immigration, legal or illegal ...

And by doing that, the imposters have won! We haven't had a serious discussion here for quite a while now ... the issue of immigration IS serious, and warrants to be taken seriously ... you can be for or against illegal immigration all you like, but are we that easily waylaid by imposters? Whose only goal IS to disrupt the debate? If we let them do that, they have won ... is that what YOU want?

This would be alot cheaper than building a wall, changing laws that are not enforced. By the way what makes us think that they are going to enforce the laws, if the govt. doesn't even enforce the ones we already have? Proud member of Sams Club!

If a muslim british citizen has a caution for possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and one speeding conviction, how easy will it be for that person to visit the USA for holiday.

This person got the conviction because he grabbed a baseball bat to chase away a gang of lads who had commenced a racially motivated attack on on one of his neighbours. He basically was trying to save someone's life in response to cry for help from the mother of a boy who was being beaten up by youths. But by the time he got to the scene the bad lads had escaped and the police caught him at the scene with a bat -hence the caution.

He is otherwise a law abiding citizen who loves enjoys the Great Outdoors and wants to visit USA for leisure.

But I hear the Americans have recently become DRACONIAN about allowing anyone to enter the States with any kind of tarnish against their name.

With all of the maids, housekeepers, janitors, poolcleaners, grounds maintenance people that Mexico is exporting to the US, how come their country is such a garbage heap? Jeez you'd think it'd be the cleanest country on Earth.

Only Congress can create federal laws. The Exec branch can only recommend and suggest. We have squat to say about it....
Congress must pass new laws to deal with the current immigration situation because the existing ones are inadequate for the condition. It's only a "misdemeanor" to be here illegally.

Let's try this again since I got some angry answers from people for erroneously using the word "Spanish" instead of "English." If substitute teachers were trained to teach English to immigrants, without requiring them (the substitute teachers) to get an entire English degreee or an endorsement to teach English as a second language, then perhaps substitute teachers' low pay could be raised, and more English classes could be opened up during a wider range of hours. What do you think of this idea? We could tap into the talents of a bigger range of educated people that way.

Instead of requiring all of them to get an entire degree in English or an endorsement in teaching English as a second language, just train them to teach using an existing program, then increase their wages and open up more English classes to immigrants during a wider range of hours. This may help remedy the low pay of substitute teachers as well as utilizing the talents of many educated people.

Okay, it seems like the Yahoo Answers "Immigration" crowd is firmly divided into two camps. Are we really doing anything anymore (on either side) besides alternating between "preaching to the choir" and venting at people on the other side when they say something inflammatory?
It doesn't seem like one side listens to the other at all, so why are we bothering?
