* It would outlaw private health insurance and give government bureaucrats the exclusive right to set reimbursement rates for physicians, clinics and hospitals. This would not only create supply shortages, but would also likely produce a black market health-care system.

* It would transform the state into the sole purchaser of medical drugs and equipment, hampering cost containment and inviting corruption.

* It would destroy professional freedom for medical professionals. The government would be the sole determiner of the number of medical professionals that could work.

* It would of necessity cap health spending. According to data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, American health providers increase medical technology by 7 percent per year. Such increases are necessary if new technology is to make its way into hospitals and clinics. If the cap for a government-funded universal health-care system like the one proposed in California had been enacted nationwide in 1

Millions of people suffered loss of honor, life, family, homes, livelihood, and sense of well being, on both sides of the India-Pakistan border, in the tragic aftermath of the Partition, in 1947. Many survivors still carry the scars of their suffering. Also, for more than a half-century, the wounds of Partition have embittered relationship between the people of India and Pakistan.

Therefore, why not build a suitable monument at the Wagah-Attari Border as a memorial to the victims of the Partition violence.

on the issue of "That our effect on climate is not dangerous."

Highly doubtful since Al is full of it.

Monckton, a former policy adviser to Margaret Thatcher during her years as
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, said, "A careful study of the
substantial corpus of peer-reviewed science reveals that Mr. Gore's film, An

errors, now being peddled to innocent schoolchildren worldwide."

This seems like a Bush Bash, we have other things out there that need to be taken care of and this is not one of the top priorities, boo hoo 8 attorneys. Clinton fired all 93, the only difference was timing. If my boss fired me would it matter if it was after he was there awhile...No. We have issues like health care, Iraq, and the bugdet to name a few...and we are making this the top headline!!! Bush has a year and a half and he probably isn't going anywhere, cut the BS and start working on the problems you were elected to take care of...not to mentioned promised to fix. The last time I looked this issue wasn't on the campaign trail.

This opinion-polling website, which promotes the big new idea of direct democracy with a perfectly balanced "constitution", questions the merits of indiscriminate universal suffrage and proposes that only taxpayers should be allowed to vote and that those who pay more tax should have more votes, similiar to voting rights that shareholders in a company would have.

The secret ballot would be abolished and a Register of Voters published, with their votes and voting history a matter of public knowledge, to prevent abuse.

Of course, it is new, radical and revolutionary!

Would you support a party that runs along the lines of www.1party4all.co.uk? It asks moral questions and proposes practical courses of action, such as whether to lower taxes, not engage in pointless wars, perfectly combining moral philosophy with practical politics.

Direct democracy is the only means fringe parties can unite against our 2-party oligarchy with indistinguishable policies! Do you agree?

Our government is ruled by the people that we elect into office! These people only have the jobs they do because WE elected them, yet we act as if they have all the power. Will we ever realize that change is what we have the power to do? Will we ever send a message to these officials by throwing them all out and putting in new people when they don't do what we elected them to do?

Put it this way: If you hired an electrician to wire your house, agreed to pay him a salary 50 times what you make in a year, and he neglected to wire the house, would you keep him on the payroll as your electrician, or hire one that will actually do the job they are supposed to be doing?
