Government - March 2007

If most of the world hates us, why do we help their countries with food and money. Like if instead of giving other nations billions, we spend it on ourselves, when we have millions of people who are struggling and hungry.

I heard a story that kids in Columbia, after the U.S. gave them food, they started throwing rocks and stuff at our troops. Why do this? I don't want to get in the whole Iraq debate, but since we spent 500 Billion on the war, wouldn't that help out so much here, spent on schools, roads, and helping families who need it.

What if a country had people who thought their leaders were friendly, but in fact were its enemy? What if the actions and plans of such leaders projected a future enslavement?

Hong long could that country remain viable?

Would a civil war be inevitable? Would the leaders resort to genocide? What would likely be the government's weapon of choice? When would it spring the trap?

What I'm interested in is not the cheap shot that Bush should fry, or that the Democrats are overdoing it.

I'm looking for a simple legal analysis of the issues that the Supreme Court will balance in order to decide the case.

It seems to me like the battle is between executive privilege and prerogatives of Congress, but I'm not a constitutional lawyer. However - complete disclosure - I'm an attorney, and I just look at constitutional questions like this. Can you explain, or direct me to information about this issue? This is not an ideological question -- I'm just curious.

As the question states. What do you think might happen or might not have happened if Bush never was President?

A majority of the citizens of Mexico are of Catholic faith. Is it possible that our President is building a bridge with that country in order to have a larger Christian front against the coming religious war?

I don't care what US politicians want, I don't care what the U.S. people want. I don't even care what the majority or Iraqis feel depending on their knowledge of what makes sense for their country at this point. Is the Iraqi government wanting the U.S. to stay so they can stabilize? Or are they pushing the U.S. out saying they can handle every thing now.
