New Orleans and Katrina are problems of the state of Louisiana. If Blanco and Nagin had prepared better, things would not have gotten as bad as they did. So, no, Bush is not a sell out to the New Orleans community, that title belongs to both the Governor and the Mayor.

No, Bush doesn't have god-like powers. The New Orleans fiasco was LA state's responsibility. Can't rely (and I don't want to) on the federal government for everything. The individual states have to start protecting their own citizens.
