The government are builing new homes, building on green belt and putting up flats up in the city; thus causing over crowding. They cost too much, interest rates are going up. The rich will soon be owning a home and not the poor. The drainage system is overloaded resulting in the flooding/bacterial after effects and needs modernising. The government are causing man made disasters. Not only from this point of view, there is a sociological point of overcrowding, health, crime and homelessness. When will the government learn? (Never I think).

preside over one of the most corrupt, chronyistic, secretive, power grubbing, elitist, exclusionary, and ignorant administrations in history?

Yes, I hate him for the reasons above, but seriously....I can't resolve his spouting of these beliefs with his actions. I'm also appalled that he continually puts loyalty to persons close to him over loyalty to and good of the country.

I don't think he is at heart a bad person, so help me out here.

And please no: Well, Clinton did this, that, or the other thing - this is about the CURRENT administration, not previous ones...any of them.

"Green" environmentally friendly weapons which don't make use of fossil fuels and it's derivatives like oil, gasoline/petrol, kerosene? What about the manufacturing processes? Are they using recycled paper and water?

Or do they need all the spare oil & resources to fund their great killing machines? It would be hypocritical of governments to impose such strict environmental management legislation on people and manufacturers but not adopt them for their own processes and needs.

but hey they are in the business of killing so why should they care?

I had to re-write this question - I origionally asked "what would a liberal written constitution look like?" and the libbies jumped down my throats because "the founding fathers were considered liberal in their day".

Well that may be true, but guess what? The founding fathers would be considered very conservative by TODAY's standards. That fact being out there, how would TODAY's liberals frame a government? Ban religion? Ban arms? Right to privacy? Right to bear and use drugs?

2007-07-31 13:36:36 · 12 answers · asked by Anonymous

Well we know there would be no freedom of religion, no right to bear arms, and the words "right to privacy" would appear in there even though they do NOT in our Constitution. What else would be different?

In the Declaration of Independence, it talked about how King George lll invaded into the colonist's pursuit of happiness. Well, isn't that what the President is doing, or whoever is trying to stop same-sex marriages? What if a person finds that being gay or lesbian is their pursuit of happiness? Nobody has the right to say, "No, you can't get married!" because isn't that invading their Pursuit of Happiness?

How can it be that religion and government are truly separate when the United States government was founded upon mostly Christian beliefs and ideas by people who were very involved in Christian religions? (Nothing against Christianity... It just happens to be the religion that applies.)

Who rather have the government take care of all your needs vs the freedom to choose and the options you have from choices? Isn't wanting more intervention from the government asking for socialism?

I could have posted this question in pets but I feel that this is more than just a question of liking cats or any pet for that matter.
Tell me what you think.
My two kids and I would like to adopt a kitten.
My husband is "putting his foot down" and is adamant that's just not going to happen.
The kids and I attempted to convince him last night but his attitude about it is that it is non-negotiable because he doesn't like cats.
Shouldn't Democracy be present in our homes? I feel that my husband is being a dictator; after all there was no reasonable effort on his part to discuss the pros and cons of getting a cat.
There are four of us in this family, 3 of which are attempting to get their way through Democratic means!

What would you do, and do you agree that Democracy should matter in our home?

Thanks :0)
