My understanding was that the consequences of lying under oath would be severe, apparently I am wrong again. I know I am wrong, because nobody is calling Alberto Gonzales a "LIAR", even though it is apparent that he is lying to Congress.

I feel like writing a letter to my congress man & just keep sending them until something changes. I’m sick and tired of working MY butt off and being drugfree while people are using their welfare checks & NOT working so they can spend MY hard earned tax money on drugs.

So, in a sense, I am buying drugs for these drug addicted fiends. I am in NO WAY insinuating that everyone on welfare does drugs, but I am suggesting we drug test anyone who receives government help.

If I have to take a drug test to work, then anyone receiving my money should have to take a drug test to receive welfare checks.

I have seen this question/comment a couple times on here & people say 'what about the children?' & 'what about the money spent on testing?'

1st, if the parents are using the $ for drugs, the kids aren't seeing the $ in the first place. 2nd, lots of people would be denied b/c of the tests.

Lastly, being poor does not mean you can avoid/abuse the law by buying drugs & using them.

I've listened to both sides of this debate and the official 9-11 theory involves a conspiracy that required a guy in a cave to coordinate a plan with multiple other people taking place thousands of miles away in secret. That is the definition of a conspiracy theory too. The FBI still doesn't even say Bin Laden did it on their website. So aren't these two sides (there's really more than two theories but this makes it easier) just debating the likelihood of either conspiracy theory?

I have today seen global overcrowding cited as justification for enforced reproduction limits.

How many people are truly afraid of a global population crisis to the extent that they would 'discourage' others from reproducing?

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation;and a house divided against a house falleth." Luke 11:17

At one time, the vast Roman Empire encompassed nearly all of the Mediterranean world. The land of Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Turkey, Spain, France, Belgium, Portugal, the British Isles, Netherlands, Germany and the Balkan states were all a part of the great Empire. Three most important areas determined the subsequent growth and expansion of this vast kingdom. (1) Roman Law, strength of the Roman Government, military supremacy; (2) a well-structured/designed system of roads leading into and out of the main province; and (3) a well-established educational system.

The Fall of the Roman Empire came about through many sources of decay which ultimately led to its demise. (1) The diversity of its national, ethnic composition began as a strength but later aided in its failure; the Barbarians entered into

George Orwells' "1984" describes dystopian socialism. I can't think, off the top of my head, of any socialist country that is not dystopian. Am I right, or am I right?
Having said that, isn't America more socialist than we'd like to admit? The government taxes like a socialist state, doesn't it?

I started a business from scratch, now employ 6 people and it is a very solid business. My income grows every year. Problem is, I owe the IRS constantly and it's threatening my business. 15 years and I have gained nothing, and it's not because of George Bush. Bill Clinton nailed us in the 90's. It has been a complete waste of time. I gained nothing and it's all because of taxes. Not the economy. Not Free Trade! Taxes! Money redistributed instead of freely flowing through new employees and growth! EXPLAIN!!!! I live in NY State! Liberal Capital! I am supposed to work 60+ hours a week so some idiot doesn't have to? So some government employee can collect a cushy pension for barely working? Explain the facts and save the rhetoric because you people have no idea what is happening.

If I only work 3 days of the week, when I am expected to work 5, I will not keep my job very long. Granted, I am not a Federal employee, but I know many people who are and this standard applies to them as well. Why is Congress held to a different standard? They have the responsibility of legislating the laws of our country and they can't show up for a full work week? This is ridiculous.
