My ideal president:
-someone who will not only listen to the people but listen to himself and do what s/he knows is right for the country
-someone who is strong and not coward. not afraid of what people will think.
-someone who knows what its like to be an average american
-someone who can stop paying too much attention on other countries, and start putting more effective efforts to fix our own.

our country is broken, and we cannot help others until we help our own

haneef is off the hook due to technical reasons not because he is innocent. his diary, hard drive about jehad,involvement of his family members in terrorist activities,all these activities clearly points toward active involvement of haneef in act terror.it is very unfortunate that prime minister of india is showing his sympathy towards haneef.congrees party is trying to appease muslim voters by lending support to the act of terror.i don't know how low congrees will go to appease muslims to get muslim votes .unbiased opinions are invited especially from the congress worker.

I cant prove it, but I personally know it exists! Whether to bilk insurance for emergency room visits, to help the funeral home business, or whatever it is used for.

I know two people that receive food stamps because they are US citizens, now I know that everyone does it, but they have children and are claiming themselves as single mothers when they're not. Now, they do not work, not because they can't but because they dont want to. One of them lives in mexico and just comes when she gets her food stamps oh and a check for her daughter. I really don't think this is fair because there are other people that really need that help, and I dont think its fair that I'm busting my a$$ to work and paying taxes and they're just living off of them because they are US citizens.. What can I do to report them??? What do I need?

All of my Taiwanese friends stress that Taiwan is an independent sovereign nation, and that its official name is "Republic of China." However, I am having a hard time finding the legal reference whereby the territorial sovereignty of Taiwan was transferred to the Republic of China.

In 1895, the Qing Dynasty transferred the territorial sovereignty of Taiwan to Japan. After 1895, Japan exercised sovereignty over Taiwan and held title to Taiwan territory.

However, in the San Francisco Peace Treaty (SFPT) after WWII, it appears that Japan renounced all rights and claims to Taiwan, but no recipient was specified !!!

If anyone can provide the name of the treaty (and the Article number therein) which transferred the territorial sovereignty of Taiwan to China, I would be grateful.

I visited the library for several hours but the reference librarian there was also unable to locate this information for me.

I recently found out that our wonderful babysitter has been an orphan since she was 14 years old. She has been out of the system and supporting herself since she was 18. She has a car, an apartment, and is attending the local community college but she is struggling to make ends meet. Are there any government programs? Are there any foundations? Scholarship programs? etc.... My husband and I have offered to take her in but she is an adult and wants to remain independent. Any ideas?

OK , now that you have fallen into my trap, why not see if you can pay attention.. The international communtity had all suggested reason to beleive that they exist...the Congress and the UN signed off on the war AND.....WE FOUND WMD's IN IRAQ!! I received this in an email, and I have to say that I agree....

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay
me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them??

I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do have a problem with helping someone sitting on their butt, doing drugs, while I work. Part of getting back on your feet is getting of the drugs.

( I dont want to hear no whinny cry babies spouting how things are rough and people need help. I am $80,000 in debt, and I am fighting my way back without government assistance. Step one... GET A JOB. There are help wanted signs EVERWHERE)

An acquaintance of mine is collecting benefits under WIC, and I don't believe she qualifies under the guidelines. She is a student, age 23, who lives with her parents while attending school. Her son is currently 10 months old. Her parents are wealthy and give her a substantial allowance. She qualified while she was pregnant, living on her own, and working a job that didn't pay well. She moved in with her wealthy parents before giving birth, and never notified WIC of her new household status.

Is this fraud, and if so, where can I report it?
